We Must Be a Forgiving People
We Must Be a Forgiving People Ephesians 4:31-32 –
“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor,
and evil speaking be put away from you,
with all malice. And be kind to one
another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God in Christ forgave
you.”
We Must Be a Forgiving People Matthew 18:10-15 –
“Moreover if your brother sins
against you, go and tell him his
fault between you and him
alone. If he hears you, you have
gained your brother.”
We Must Be a Forgiving People II Corinthians 2:4-11 –
“so that, on the contrary, you ought
rather to forgive and comfort him,
lest perhaps such a one be
swallowed up with too much sorrow.
Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your
love to him.”
Conclusion
Unforgiving is sin & we must treat it that way.
Unforgiving is serious.
Unforgiving separates us from God, from
God’s blessings, and from God’s promises.
Unforgiving will keep us out of heaven. We are to be a forgiving people and
forgive others, even as God in Christ has forgave us.
