WHAT ARE VALUES ?

Values ( dictionary meaning) : principles and beliefs that we think are valuable or important in life

………help us decide our aspirations, goals and the means to achieve these

Categorization : Personal, organizational, economic, social, cultural, aesthetic, family, constitutional, democratic, ethical and moral, spiritual

H U M A N L I F E

values are closely integrated with human life. They are intertwined with our day to day chores.

No human life is possible without values.

Yes every living human being lives by certain values. It is only the proportion and combination of negative and positive values which separates a noble human being from a not so noble human being.

HUMAN LIFE

Every human being is born neutral and is like a clean slate and no mindset. How much of virtues and vices are filled in depends solely on the parents, teachers, circumstances, environment, and sometimes even geographic location.

Moral values regard matters of right and wrong whereas Human values help a person to distinguish between right and wrong.

Moral values are constant and unchanging whereas Human values change from person to person and from time to time.

Moral values are for self development and self discipline whereas Human values is about how we treat others in society.

WHERE DO WE STAND TODAY

At the level of Individual: rising problems of depression, psychological disorder, suicides, stress, insecurity, health problem.

At the level of Family: Breaking of joint family, mistrust and insecurity in relationship, divorce, legal suits.

At the level of Society: Terrorism, casteism, wars between nations, fear of nuclear and genetic welfare.

At the level of nature: Global warming, water, soil, air, noise pollution, resource depletion of minerals and oil, loss of fertility of soil.
