WHAT IS PAST SIMPLE TENSE

The past simple verb tense is used when:

-The action happened in the past.

-The action/event is completed /finished at the time of speaking.

We form the simple past of a verb by adding - ed onto the end of a regular verb but, irregular verb forms have to be learned.
