• The Doctors That Care (TDTC) is comprised of – Chiropractors– Medical doctors– Osteopaths– Dentists– Psychologists

– And other professionals who have come together to reach out to those people in their community who had a hard time affording the services they needed.

Every year, thousands of individual practitioners volunteer, time and resources to help others.

Our Goal Is For Every Practitioner To Volunteer One Day Per Month

• Practitioners who participate in TDTC currently donate their services at least four times of the year to those in need.

• TDTC helps the working poor, homeless, uninsured and underinsured, developmentally disabled, those at or below the federal poverty level, and other at-risk adults and children.

Startling Dental Statistics• Did you know? More than 49 million people in the U.S.

Don’t Have access to dental care• Did you know? Children ages 2 to 11 whose families live

below the poverty level are twice as likely as their more affluent peers to have untreated tooth decay.

• Did you know? Twenty-five percent of young children from low-income families have not seen a dentist before entering kindergarten.

• Did you know? Tooth decay is the single most common chronic childhood disease - five times more common than asthma and seven times more common than hay fever.

Startling Dental Statistics• Did you know? For each child without medical

insurance, there are 2.6 children without dental insurance.

• Did you know? About 17 million children received no dental care in the past year.

The Elderly• Did you know? In the 65-to-74-year-old category, 23

percent have severe periodontal disease. This figure is higher for those living in poverty.

• Did you know? The impact of oral disease on the elderly will increase over time, as the number in this group is projected to double to 70 million by 2030.

TDTC’s ultimate mission is to have medical professionals in every State in the US provide at

least one day per month of free services.
