Strangler," is convicted of numerous crimes and is sentenced to life in prison.

Albert DeSalvo was considered the Boston Strangler, responsible for killing 13 women, but he was never charged.

The Boston Strangler was an alleged serial killer in Boston, Massachusetts between June 14, 19XX, and January 4, 19XX, when thirteen single women between the ages of 19 and 85 were murdered in the Boston area. They were murdered in their own apartments, with no signs of forced entry. After a sexual assault they were strangled with their own clothing.

12th Street Riot: In Detroit, Michigan, one of the worst riots in United States history begins on 12th Street in the predominantly African American inner city (43 killed, 342 injured and ~1,400 buildings burned).
