Traffic Manager's (TM) Training
o Course Overview:• One-day, 8 hr training course
• Provides Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) training for work zones
• Designed for field supervisors and crew leaders
• Course manual with instructional material is provided
o Course Curriculum:• Fundamentals of Temporary Traffic Control (TTC)
• SHA’s TTC Standards and Specifications
• SHA’s TTC Typical Applications
• Small group problem solving exercises
• Written examination at the end of the course (NO VERBAL TESTING IS PERMITTED)

Traffic Manager's (TM) Training
o Course Registration/Fee:• Payment is due at the time of registration
• $20.00 (Government employees)
• $80.00 (MTBMA Members)
• $95.00 (Non-Members, Others)
• No cancellations or refunds
o Results/Successful Completion• Successful completion requires a 70% score on written examination
• Exam results will be available online (www.mtbma.org) within 10 business days from the date of the training course
• Correspondence, including cards confirming the successful completion of the course will be mailed out to the company that registered each attendee
• Traffic Manager's Training valid for four (4) years from date of successful course completion

MD T2 Center - About Us
Who We Are• The Maryland Transportation Technology Transfer (MD T2)
Center, Maryland’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP)
• Located at the University of Maryland College Park
• Jointly funded through FHWA and the Maryland SHA
• Provides training services to agencies concerned with highways in rural and in urbanized areas with a population under one million
• The LTAP mission is to stimulate active, progressive, and cost effective transfer of bridge/highway technology and to provide technical assistance to local and urban governments
• LTAP accomplishes its mission through a network of LTAP centers (one in each State, including Puerto Rico, and six that serve Native American Tribal Governments)

These courses have not been scheduled for 2017 but are related to the Traffic Manager Training:
• Flagger CertificationReceive ATTSA certification upon passing exam, ½ day class.Registration Fees: $100 registration fee
• Introduction to Temporary Traffic ControlThis one-day course is designed to give participants a complete overview of TTC in work zones, including applicable standards, guidelines, traffic control devices, component parts and their requirements, installation/removal considerations, and pedestrian accessibility. This course will prepare participants to take the Maryland SHA Traffic Manager’s course. Registration Fees: $100 Maryland Local Government Only and $125 All Other Registrants
• Work Zone DesignGives participants knowledge of the entire temporary traffic control (TTC) process (two-day course). The material is based on Part 6 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and are modified to address Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) TTC standards and
guidelines.Registration Fees: $199 Maryland Local Government Only and $225 All Other Registrants 18
