Whenaninsideoverlappedright-of-wayboatmustchangetackatamarktosailherpropercourse,unAlshechangestacksheshallsailnofartherfromthemarkthanneededtosailthatcourse.Rule18.3doesnotapplyatagatemarkorafinishingmarkandaboatshallnotbepenalizedforbreakingthisruleunlessthecourseofanotherboatwasaffectedbythebreachofthisrule.
