“I Sing Praises to Your Name”#2037 black

hymnal

I sing praises to your name, O Lord,

praises to your name, O Lord,

for your name is great and greatly to be praised;

praised.

I give glory to your name, O Lord,

glory to your name, O Lord,

for your name is great and greatly to be praised;

praised.

Opening Song“O How I Love Jesus”

#170 red hymnal

There is a name I love to hear,

I love to sing its worth; It sounds like music in my

ear, the sweetest name on

earth.

O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,O how I love Jesus,

because He first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior’s love,

who died to set me free;It tells me of his precious

blood, the sinner’s perfect plea.

O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,O how I love Jesus,

because He first loved me!

It tells of one whose loving heart

can feel my deepest woe;Who in each sorrow bears

a part that none can bear

below.

O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,O how I love Jesus,

because He first loved me!

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt

you.

People:Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others

as better than yourselves.

Leader:Whoever becomes humble

like thischild is the greatest in the

kingdom of heaven.

People:He has told you, O

mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord

require of you but to do justice, and to love

Call To Prayer“Touch Through Me

Holy Spirit”

Solo by Sharon Lawrence

Touch through me, Holy Spirit,

touch through me,Let my hands reach out

to others,touch through me;

There's a lonely soul somewhere needing just

one friend to care,Touch through me, Holy

Spirit,touch through me.

Love through me, Holy Spirit,

love through me,I will be my brother's

keeper,love through me;

Hearts are bleeding deep inside,

love can dry the weeping eye,

Love through me, Holy Spirit,

love through me.

Flow through me, Holy Spirit,

flow through me,Like a river in the desert,

flow through me;Springing power and

healing strength, living water pure and clean,Flow through me, Holy

Spirit,flow through me.

My hands will be your hands reaching out to

others,My lips will not be

slothful,Lord, to speak;

I will be that good Samaritan to someone

else in need,I will be your house to

dwell in,live through me.

Flow through me,Holy Spirit, flow through

me,Holy Spirit, touch

through me,Holy Spirit, touch

through me.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be Thy name.Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass

against us.And lead us not into

temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Scripture Reading

Judges 4:4-9 (NIV) 4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim,

and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. 6 She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, “The Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: ‘Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead them up to Mount Tabor.

7 I will lead Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.’” 8 Barak said to her, “If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.”

9 “Certainly I will go with you,” said Deborah. “But because of the course you are taking, the honor will not be yours, for the Lord will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman.” So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh.

Luke 8:1-3 (NIV) The Parable of the Sower8 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God.

The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household;

Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

Leader:The Word of God for the

People of God.

People:Thanks be to God.

Invitational Song

“Spirit Song” #347 red hymnal

O let the Son of God enfold you with his Spirit and his

Love . Let Him fill your heart and

satisfy your soul. O let him have the things

that hold you and his Spirit like a dove will descend upon

your life and make you whole.

Jesus, O Je - sus, come and fill your lambs.

Jesus, O Je - sus, come and fill your lambs.

O come and sing this song with gladness as your

hearts are filled with joy, Lift your hands in sweet

surrenderto his name.

O give Him all your tears and sadness,

give him all your years of pain.

And you'll enter into life in Jesus' name

Jesus, O Je - sus, come and fill your lambs.

Jesus, O Je - sus, come and fill your lambs.

Offertory“If it had Not Been for

the Lord”#2053 black hymnal

If it had not been for the Lord,

on my side;Tell me where would I be,

where would I be.

He kept my enemies a way,He let the sunshine

through a cloudy day.

He rocked me in the cradle of his arm.

When he knew I had been battered and scorned.

If it had not been for the Lord,

on my side;Tell me where would I be,

where would I be.

He never left me all alone; He gave the peace and joy

I'd never known.He answered when I knelt

to really pray,And in victory,

the Lord showed me His way.

If it had not been for the Lord,

on my side;Tell me where would I be,

where would I be.
