Group and personal development through arts, craft skills education with Artist Roisin Markham.

Individual connection to creativity, accessible, everyone engages at their level …

… individual sharing to conclude the session builds group skills, collective listening, defines everyone as creative, allows mutual respect and builds trust in the group

Using painting as a medium of group self expression but with a difference!

This exercise explored communication skills, leadership, organisation skills and team work.

We started with three volunteers who became the orchestrators of a group.

The orchestrators direct the others in the group where and what to paint.

Each group member is asked to use nonverbal communication and only paint with one colour.

The instruction: to paint a harmonious group picture.

Made for some interesting learning!

The second exercise in this session was to work as collaboratively as possible.

Each member had one colour to paint with.

The groups worked much more contentedly which is evident form the wonderful collective images they created.
