Question of the Month: April Showers are around the corner, do you like running in the rain?

Lake Winniepsaukee RelayAlways a club favorite and one that WRC members have participated in for the past several years. As an added bonus, the club pays for the team entry fee for Lake Winni Relay! Now that’s a great benefit for being a member of WRC!

Tip from Toomey Sports Nutritionist Laura Kennedy:The recovery period following your workout is a crucial time for the right nutrition. Try to consume a mix of carbs and protein (such as chocolate milk, a low-fat yogurt or a sports bar) as soon as you can tolerate it after exercise (within an hour is ideal).

Where in the World is Wicked?Wicked Stays Close to Home, and More From Florida

Where in the world are YOU?If you travel for a race (or some other reason), let us know (yes, Massachusetts counts!). Send images and captions to newsletter@wickedrunningclub.com.

Black Cat 10 & 20 Miler: How appropriate for WRC mascot and cat about town, Miles Fartlek, to show up at this race. He didn’t need to travel far as this race was right in Salem!

Miami Marathon: Has anyone noticed that Billy Shea disappeared recently? Well, don’t fret! He’s been in Florida avoiding New England blizzards, and he ran the Miami Marathon in January, earning this snazzy, sunny bling. Way to go Billy!

Hyannis Marathon and Half Marathon: Miles is at it again, crossing another finish line with the help of Stephanie Hagyard.

Olde Salem Greens 5K: WRC took a trip to the Golf Course in Salem to run the 9th Annual OSG 5K — Race #1 in the Wicked Grand Prix Series.
