Tzu Chi Seeds of Hope (SOH)

Programme for the year 2015 is now

open for all Y2015 Sec 2 - 4 students.

Objective: To provide financial assistance to needy students

Type of Assistance

� SGD100 given monthly as meal

and transportation assistance.

� Payment directly credited into

student’s bank account

via internet banking(GIRO).

Eligibility Criteria 1) Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

2) Family’s gross household income (GHI) not more than

$2500 monthly AND Per capita income (PCI) not more

than $550 monthly (*Families in excess of the amount

stated above will be reviewed on case-by-case basis. )

3) Living in a HDB 4-room flat or smaller

4) School attendance must be at least 70% and above

5) Not eligible for students who is currently receiving MOE

Financial Assistance Scheme / School Pocket /Money

Fund / other FAS

**The above criteria is used as a guideline for the range of

eligible applicants. Outcome of the application

will be based on the home visit assessment and the

committee’s decision. YCKSS FAS 2014

Terms and Conditions 1) Each applicant must fill up an Application Form even if they

are of family ties or staying in same residence.

2) Only parents and legal guardians can apply on behalf of

students.

3) Deadline for application: 19 August 2014

4) Please return the form fully completed to school to avoid any

delay in the processing of application.

5) Re-application is required every year.

6) Home visit is compulsory. Application outcome will be based

on the home visit assessment and the committee’s decision.

7) All applicants will be notified by post at the end of Nov 2014.

8) Tzu Chi Foundation reserves the right to decide on the

outcome of the application without any written notice.

Target Group • Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

• Gross Monthly Household Income (MHI) not

• exceeding $3,300 or Monthly Per Capita income

• (PCI) not exceeding $900 are eligible for the

above mentioned programmes which are highly

subsidised by CDAC

[MHI not exceeding $1,900 or PCI not exceeding

$650 could apply for Bursary, Tuition Fee Waiver

and higher Activity Fee ]

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA FOR CDAC BURSARY APPLICANTS

1) Student must be a full-time student in Singapore.

2) Student must have good conduct (at least “Good”) and

regular attendance (at least “90%”) in the school.

3) Student in receipt of the following will not be granted the

bursary:

� Home Ownership Plus Education (HOPE) Scheme

� Other scholarship or bursary from organisations or

schools (excluding Edusave scholarship and Merit Bursary)

� The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

� JC / CI / Integrated Programme (Year 5 & 6) MOE-FAS

� CDC-CCC ITE Bursary / Scholarship

HOW TO APPLY � Obtain application forms from school, CDAC

Centres or download from CDAC website:

www.cdac.org.sg

� Complete the form carefully and obtain

endorsement from school

� Check the application form to ensure all columns

are filled and required supporting documents are

enclosed before mailing to CDAC

� Send in the completed application form to CDAC

Secretariat according to the stipulated closing

dates of the various levels
