Lesson 1: Chez-Moi!

Objectif:To be able to talk about different places to live.

List 5 things that the French do

at New Year.

Write 3 sentences from last

term in French.Write 3 verbs with Il and Elle. Find the French for 3 countries.

Name 5 French foods.Name 3 mountains that are in

France.Name 3 famous French actors.

Retrieval Activity:Look at the topic title on the board and choose a settler starter to complete.

Copy out the following 9 places where you might live and use a dictionary/Word Reference online, to work out their

meaning.

Below is the verb Habiter = to live. Look at the endings carefully.Copy it out and practise how you would say it.

Look at the 9 images and write a different sentence for each one using the verb habiter.

eg. 1. J’habite à la montagne.

1. Read the paragraph below. Use Word Reference or a dictionary to look up and notes any new words.

2. Answer the questions in English.3. Write a similar paragraph about where you live.

Lesson 2: A La Maison des Jeunes 1!

Objectif:To be able to understand technology items and activities using them.

technology with opinions.

Read and translate the text into English.

Draw around your hand on paper.In each finger write 5 parts of the verb to be in French with an adjective to describe 5 friends using the correct m/f/pl ending. e.g. Paul, il est timide

Using the box above, write out regarder, bavarder and écouter in

the je, tu and il/elle forms.

Now translate these activities into English

1. Match up the activities with the correct verb and give the English

Eg. lire un roman= to read a book.

2. Now use the phrases to give your opinion on each activity. Put it into a paragraph and say which day

you do the activity.

Lesson 4: Les Animaux Chez-moi.

Match up the animals to their French names and practise how you would say them. Remember your phonics lessons

on this.

Now use the names to describe each animal.Eg. Le mouton est blanc et petit.

Use a dictionary or Word

utensils.

1. Mettre la farine dans un grand bol et casser trois œufs . Mélanger avec un fouet.

2. Fouetter les œufs et la farine.

3. Ajouter lentement l’eau et le lait.

4. Ajouter le sel et le beurre.

5. Combiner tous les ingrédients.

6. Chauffer le poêle avec un peu de beurre.

7. Verser les ingrédients dans une poêle chaude.

8. Laisser cuire à feu pour deux minutes.

9. Puis retourner la crêpe et laisser cuire pour encore deux minutes
