CHAPEL MINISTRIES AND INFORMATION: Welcome! Please find below areas in which you may wish to volunteer
or join any of our many wonderful activities:
Children’s Liturgy
Every Sunday during Mass children are invited to join our liturgy instructors to learn about our
Lord, His Church, His Ways and most of all His love for us. They will be taught to say prayers,
learn about the scripture, saints, Bible stories and make crafts. All children are invited
(approx ages 4 to 10 years), parents may attend with a younger child.
Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion
We ask for any parents who desire for their children to receive these sacraments to contact
Father David as soon as possible. Preparations with the children will be occurring from
October to November for First Reconciliation and in the spring for First Communion.
Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child”/”Opération Enfant Noël
Shoeboxes with instructions will be available at the back of the chapel in October.
Les boîtes de carton avec les instructions seront disponibles à l’arrière de la chapelle
au mois d’octobre.
Evening Vespers
An ancient practice of the Orthodox Church, Vespers or Evening Prayer was served not only
to end the day, but to prepare oneself spiritually for the next day. When celebrated on
Saturdays Vespers is in anticipation of the Sunday Eucharist. It consists of Psalm readings
and petitions for repentance and forgiveness. Please come to help sing ‘Lord have mercy!’
When? Saturdays at 1700 hrs in CFB Kingston Holy Family Chapel.
