AMU/ APU English Proficiency Requirement Students studying online with APUS must be able to read and write rapid idiomatic English. As such in order to ensure your success at the University, we have prompted you to provide proof of English Proficiency. Please read this document in its entirety. APUS requires the completion of this requirement to all international students except: Citizens of the United States, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominica England, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Scotland, Solomon Islands, St. Catalina, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, U.S. Virgin Islands Wales - Students that have completed High School or GED in the United States (diploma must be recognized by the State Board of Education). - Students that have earned a degree at an accredited U.S. college (Associates or higher). - Students in the U.S. military. - Students that have completed an English composition course at an accredited U.S. college with a grade of B- or higher. Students who do not fall under one of the above exemptions and do not have transcripts from an accredited institution in the United States MUST provide the university with documentation of English Proficiency: Transcripts Document Requirements - Completed and conferred high school diploma or GED - Completed and conferred Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher level degree from an accredited institution in the United States - Transcripts showing completion of an English composition course from an accredited institution in the United States Scores must be sent officially in a sealed envelope directly to the school (address is provided at the bottom of this document).

up to 2 years old.
