DESCRIPTION

GPRS based meter and logger is important product for online energy monitoring, analysis and management system in offices and industries. In industries we monitor every material and record the data for this, so analysis of electricity is also important in industries. GPRS based meter and logger is THREE PHASE METER AND INBUILT GPRS BASED DATA LOGGER which measure and shows the electricity data on LCD display. It also loggs data on www.emdata.in so you can view and download your energy data online on internet by log-in to www.emdata.in . It also sends SMS and EMAIL for events and alarms. FOR LIVE DEMO LOGON TO www.emdata.in . For more information contact on www.embuilt.com .

Energy management is very important in any factory or office. We are using many

equipments and machines in our office and factory. Some of them use various reactive

components and they waste the power means they make your power factor low by

which you can cause a penalty by electricity company.

By using GML-3 you can continue monitor your energy data from anywhere and

improve your energy consumption by taking necessary decisions. You can monitor your

energy data online e.g. you can view when your office is open when your energy

consumption is high. It’s another good application is that if any new machine is installed

in your office you can check its energy details and power consumption from any remote

location. By GML-3 you can also track various activities in your office or factory and get

notify by SMS and email. So you can manage your energy data self without taking any

help of energy consultants.

Here we are giving examples of energy monitoring by GML-3.

If we see above graph then we find that our energy consumption is started at 09:30 am

means office is started at 09:30 am. Then current is increases as the other equipment is

turn on. As the load increases the current is also increases.

Here you can see current is lower than other time at 1:50 pm Means may be this is lunch

time so many equipments get turn off.

Now you can see at 18:60 pm current going to zero. It says that office is closed and no

equipment is being left opened after office close.

The power factor of an AC electrical power system is defined as the ratio of the real

power flowing to the load, to the apparent power in the circuit and is a dimensionless

number between -1 and 1. Real power is the capacity of the circuit for performing work

in a particular time. Apparent power is the product of the current and voltage of the

circuit. Due to energy stored in the load and returned to the source, or due to a non-

linear load that distorts the wave shape of the current drawn from the source, the

apparent power will be greater than the real power. A negative power factor occurs

when the device which is normally the load generates power which then flows back

towards the device which is normally considered the generator.

In an electric power system, a load with a low power factor draws more

current than a load with a high power factor for the same amount of useful power

transferred. The higher currents increase the energy lost in the distribution system, and

require larger wires and other equipment. Because of the costs of larger equipment and

wasted energy, electrical utilities will usually charge a higher cost to industrial or

commercial customers where there is a low power factor.

Linear loads with low power factor (such as induction motors) can be corrected

with a passive network of capacitors or inductors. Non-linear loads, such as rectifiers,

distort the current drawn from the system. In such cases, active or passive power factor

correction may be used to counteract the distortion and raise the power factor. The

devices for correction of the power factor may be at a central substation, spread out

over a distribution system, or built into power-consuming equipment.

By above graph you can view your waste power and can improve this by using

suitable power factor control device.

So by above analysis we find the every moment of office working with GML-3. you can

also tell your staff to reduce load or can identify if there is any energy waste is occur or

any other equipment running which is not used in past days.
