An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Page 2: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Before 213 began to draft how she would build her new home, she asked Kennedy to move in. He brought in $5,000, which definitely helped out.

Page 3: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Of course, there was one other thing they had to get out of the way…

“Kennedy, I know we have spoken about this before, but will you join me in union?”

Page 4: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Kennedy chuckled. “Yes, I’ll marry you, babe.”

Despite being a popularity sim, he figured he could give a family a shot. It was unclear how long his enthusiasm about it would last, however.

Page 5: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The pair spent all day decorating their new home. They couldn’t afford a floor on the ground or paint on the walls, but they had spacious rooms.

Page 6: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Over the next few days, 213 and Kennedy would gather on the couch and eat their gelatin dinner while watching comedy movies. This taught an important lesson that you don’t have to be rich to be happy.

Page 7: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After building, they were left with little to no simoleons. They both found a job in the Law Enforcement career. It wasn’t their dream job, but it paid the most and was easy to get a promotion in.

Page 8: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The night they got home from their first day of work, 213 was startled by a sudden bump in her stomach.

“Hm… what could this mean?” thought the oblivious alien. “Possibly pregnant?”

Page 9: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The next morning, 213 addressed her growing stomach.

“Darling, it appears I am carrying offspring produced by you and myself,” said 213 through a mouthful of hamburger.“You’re pregnant? That’s fantastic!” said Kennedy with excitement. “This is a great start to our family.”213 blinked. “You suppose we are financially prepared for this child?”

Page 10: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“Of course we’re financially stable. I’ll go to work while you stay home and rest. Here, you get paid vacations when you’re on maternity leave, so we’ll still make money,” Kennedy explained. He liked that she was so new to everything.

Page 11: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“You’re right, there’s nothing for me to worry about.”

Page 12: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Meanwhile, in an apartment building a few blocks away…

500 sat at the table, thinking about how he would punish his daughter. With such a strict father, not one child could get away with this. The ring of the doorbell interrupted his thoughts.

Page 13: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

He opened the door to an angry-looking young woman.“I’ll teach you to not screw with my friend,” she said the instant he opened the door.“Excuse me? What are you doing here, little girl? Run off!”The girl pulled out a knife, directing it at the closest light so it would reflect into his eye, causing him temporary blindness.

Page 14: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

In one swift move, she stabbed his neck and left him to die in the snow.

Page 15: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Very early the next morning, 213 was on her way to the kitchen for a midnight snack when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.“What in the world? The baby is coming?” she said aloud.

Page 16: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Next to their mini couch, 213 gave birth to a baby girl named Betsy Ann. The small child took all of her mother’s traits, including eye, hair, and skin color.

Page 17: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

It bothered 213 that her husband was fast asleep. Didn’t it matter to him that they had been expecting this day for a long time now? Luckily, she was too tired to think about it at the moment.

Page 18: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The next morning, as 213 was feeding Betsy Ann, she received a phone call from her Sorority Sister.“Jessie! What’s wrong?”Jessie, on the other line, was breathing a bit heavily as if she were hyperventilating. “I did something. We need to talk. I’m coming over.” And with that, she hung up and was on her way.

Page 19: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“I killed your father,” Jessie blurted, guilt flowing in her eyes.“You… what?”“I was so frustrated. Ever since your phone conversation-”“You listened to my phone conversation?”

Page 20: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“I prefer ‘watching your back.’ Look, he was out to hurt you, and you’re my sister. I couldn’t let him do that.”

Page 21: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

213 tried to let this all sink in. She didn’t want to admit that she was glad he died, but she was. She simply pulled Jessie in for a hug.

Page 22: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“Thank you, Jessie. Would you like to come inside and meet my family? It’s my daughter’s birthday and I’d like you to meet her.”Jessie gladly accepted.

Page 23: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Inside, Jessie and 213 helped Betsy Ann grow up. Kennedy was, yet again, sound asleep in his bedroom. It made 213 wonder if he had even looked at his child since she was born.

Page 24: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Betsy Ann grew up to look just like her mother, hair style and all. She is neat, shy, lazy, playful, and nice.

Page 25: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

213 absolutely doted over her daughter. She spent all of her time teaching her things and playing with her.

Page 26: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Kennedy, on the other hand, worked all day and came home late at night. He spent little to no time with his family, most of it eating, sleeping, or skilling for a promotion.

Page 27: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After a hard talking to from 213, Kennedy threw a birthday party for Betsy Ann, yet showing no excitement.

Page 28: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After his friends arrived, Kennedy helped Betsy blow out the candles.

Page 29: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After every birthday, Betsy was looking more and more like her mother. She felt very awkward at her birthday party. It was just her father and his girl friend, no one she knew.

Page 30: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

In an attempt to spend more time with her, Kennedy started a little family smustle before bedtime.

Page 31: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After returning home from work with a promotion, 213 found a large bump on her stomach. She knew she was pregnant this time around, but this time her stomach was a little bigger than last time.

Page 32: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

With the promotion, Kennedy and 213 built a new story onto the house. They held off on the windows for the moment, but they would add more later.

Page 33: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“Daddy?” Betsy asked the next morning at breakfast.“Yes?” he replied.“Who was that lady you brought to my party last night?”The room turned quiet. 213 looked up at Kennedy. “Yes, love, who was that lady?”“Just… a friend from work. No big deal. Strictly promotion purposes,” he sighed. For some reason, 213 had a hard time believing him.

Page 34: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

As mommy and daddy had a ‘talk’ in the house, Betsy Ann went outside and turned on the radio in the car. She liked to pretend this was her car- it made her feel powerful.

Page 35: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

When Bets was outside dancing, she saw a girl walk by her. “Hi!” she said loudly to the girl. “I’m Betsy.”“Oh, hi. I’m Kaylynn.”“Is something wrong?”“Yeah, I walked away from my home because my mom was being mean.”“Aw, I’m sorry. Here, let’s go play Cops and Robbers. It’ll take your mind off of it.”And off they went.

Page 36: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Hours later, 213 was awaken by a sharp pain in her stomach, much sharper than the last time she gave birth.“Ah!” she yelped, gripping her stomach. “Kennedy!”Luckily, Kennedy was conscious that night.

Page 37: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

213 should have known- she gave birth to twin girls. In Kennedy’s arms is Lux, and in 213’s is Jordan. They both, just like Betsy Ann, take completely after their mother.

Page 38: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“Mommy?” Betsy asked over pancakes the next morning. “Why are there two annoying, screaming monsters upstairs?”“Those are your little sisters, Bets. They want you to like them.”“Well, I guess if you say I like them, I like them!”

Page 39: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Those two ‘annoying monsters’ were definitely hard to take care of, especially with Kennedy working all day. They needed to eat at the same time, needed their diapers changed at the same time, etc.

Page 40: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The night of the twin’s birthday, Betsy was waiting downstairs for her parents to bring the babies down to their cakes. While waiting, she noticed a movie playing on the tv. This instantly ignited her passions for movies.

Page 41: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Lux grew up to be sloppy, outgoing, lazy, playful, and nice.

Page 42: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Jordan, on the other hand, is neat, shy, lazy, playful, and nice.

Page 43: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

213 thought raising twin babies was hard, try twin toddlers. They now had words to yell at you instead of being limited to just screams. They also had proper use of their hands- perfect for pounding on things and pulling one’s hair.

Page 44: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Betsy Ann, on the other hand, was doing quite well. She always finished her homework early so that she could develop more hobbies, like video gaming.

Page 45: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

In fact, she had so much enthusiasm about video games that she was invited to the secret video gaming lot.

Page 46: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Kennedy also seemed to be living a very easy life. He liked to dance, but it wasn’t a strong passion.

Page 47: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

The days seemed to fly by without event. Soon enough, it was time for the twins to grow up. Lux was potty trained, but Jordan learned nothing.

Page 48: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Lux grew into an adorable child with long, shiny hair.

Page 49: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Jordan was left with the short, less shiny hair. There’s no doubt that she felt left out in the family, but she grew up happy.

Page 50: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Lux and Betsy Ann liked to spend time outside tossing balls around.

“You think we should invite Jordan out here?” asked Lux, feeling a bit guilty for her twin.“Nah. She’s too introverted, it would be really awkward,” said Betsy with a grunt as she tossed the baseball.

Page 51: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Meanwhile, Jordan was taking a bubble bath, playing with her toys and playing house. She was content with playing by herself, even though she longed for some social interaction.

Page 52: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

A few days later, Betsy Ann grew into a teenager right after dinner, taking her friend Kaylynn with her.

Page 53: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Betsy jumped as a child and hit the ground a teenager. She clearly enjoyed being a teenager at last and Lux was right by her side.

The next morning, Lux waited impatiently to use the bathroom.

“Betsy! Get out, ya broad!”

Page 56: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“Hey! I’m a teenager now, punk! I’m going to use the bathroom all morning!”

Page 57: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After the bathroom fiasco, Jordan took it upon herself to invite over the headmaster. She knew her mother’s self-esteem was getting low and all she wanted was for all three children to make it into private school.

Page 58: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Unfortunately, the headmaster was not too pleased. He didn’t believe that this was a suitable environment for a child, what with spacious rooms but nothing in them besides the essentials.

Page 59: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

That’s when 213 hit rock bottom. She was giggling constantly and babbling about suspicions of her husband.

Page 60: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Lux just watched helplessly as her mother slowly went insane. Kennedy came up behind her and took her out of the room. “Your mother is just having a hard time right now. It’ll be okay.”

Page 61: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Fortunately, with a few more cooking skill points and more educational toys in the house, the kids just barely made it into private school. 213’s aspiration went from red to white in a second.

Page 62: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

After a quick talk from her older sister, Lux thought it was time for her and Jordan to become actual friends. “Hey Jor, get off your robot butt and come toss football with me!”

Page 63: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Jordan gladly accepted her invitation and tossed around a football outside. It was awkward at first, but Jordan quickly warmed up to Lux, instantly becoming friends.

Page 64: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Now that Lux finally left her alone to go play with Jordan, Betsy could ask 213 for permission to go out.

“…and that’s why dancing at a nightclub until 3 AM on a school night is educational.”

Page 65: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Luckily for Betsy, her mother was completely oblivious to the party lifestyle. With a shrug, she agreed.

Page 66: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Just as she promised, Betsy stayed out until 3, being the DJ at the local nightclub.

Page 67: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

Meanwhile, at the secret Dance Studio location…

“So, when do you think I should tell her about us?” asked Kennedy in a secluded room with his dance instructor.“As soon as possible. I want you all to myself,” said Noelle Dennis.“Really? You’d want an old brute like me? I’m 6 days away from being an elder you know.”

Page 68: An Alienated Legacy; Chapter 1.2

“But I love you despite that, I’ve loved you since you first came here. 213 obviously doesn’t love you, she doesn’t show it like I would,” she explained with a devilish smirk.“Mm, that smirk is telling me we should head to the photo booth,” Kennedy growled, taking Noelle’s hand and leading her to their ‘love booth.’
