An Epistle from Paul:

THE DOLLAR CARRIES THE WORD! – Our money bears testimony to the fact that our nation was founded on faith in God… and emphasizes the additional fact that as a nation we rely upon God’s providence. Let me illustrate what is meant.

On the dollar bill is a pyramid, which represents the building of our country. You will note the pyramid is not completed; thus, emphasizing our nation is not yet finished. Directly above the pyramid is an eye which symbolizes the watchful eye of God. Our founding fathers firmly believed that our strength was rooted in God and that our progress must always be under the watchful eye of our Creator and Redeemer!

Another important symbol is contained in the words Annuit Coeptis in a semi-circle at the top of the seal. Referring to God, these words mean: “He has smiled on our undertakings.”

Finally, three Latin words appear directly under the pyramid, Novus Ordo Seclorum. They mean: “A new order of the ages.” That statement clearly means our nation, under God, is introducing a new age in the life and freedom of mankind. Psalm 33:12 says it best, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”

I.D.E.S. Trip is Slatted!

Wednesday, August 22nd, we will be loading up the bus and heading to Noblesville, IN to the

Internation Disaster Emergency Services building. We will be filling meal bags on an assembly line. The more who come the more we will be able to accomplish. If you are concerned about standing on concrete, don’t. You will be able to contribute by simply being seated… If you want to know more detail concerning this trip get in touch with someone from our missions ministry team… We already have eleven signed up to go. New Study on Wednesday AM to Begin August 1st!

We want to urge those who are free to join us Wednesday, August 1st as we begin a new study in the Gospel according to Mark. This will be an indepth study of this the shortest of the four Gospels. Bring your Bibles and receptive hearts as we delve into this book of our Lord’s life!!!

Fall Youth Camp is Slatted!

Our older youth are urged to make plans now to attend this year’s Fall Youth Camp at Chenoweth Trails. This will

be taking place September 22nd – 23rd. Last year was the inaugural gathering. Plans are underway for more youth to be present with even more opportunities growing together in the Lord! Any adults wanting to help in this effort can get in touch with Jon Rieger and find out through him what you can do to help towards this event!

Love and Sympathy Are Extended!

We extend our love and sympathy to two families who lost loved ones this

past Friday. Virginia Fogg, sister to Anita Watts, passed away early this past Friday. She had recovered enough from several severe strokes to be able to express her love to her immediate family before passing… Dan Moore passed away this last Friday as well. The cancer had returned to his bones and glands… We express our love and prayers to the families of these individuals!

A Trip is Planned!

Saturday August 18th, several from the church family will be gathering here at the building and heading out to the Creation Museum. If you would like to join them, detail for this trip can be found on the table in the foyer. A signup sheet is also there; so, make plans now to take in this trip. The bus will be going along with a couple of other vehicles. A discount is in effect so you will save a couple of bucks!
