The following print process is fairly straight forward and used to print a variety of document files, which have been produced from different software, such as a spreadsheet produced by Excel or Calc, or a PDF file which has been taken from the internet.

We are going to use this procedure to print a document produced from within Word.

To print a document from within a Microsoft application, select the FILE Option on the taskbar.

The next page will be the document’s profile, which we will passed and move on to Print.

The following procedure can be used to print photographs, the source of our photographs will be from the Picture folder, and the software used will be Windows Photo Editor ‘’Photos’’, which you all have access to if you use Windows versions 8 or 10.

Old technology which is still used today.

Facsimile, or Fax, machines have been around for a very long time and are used for the transmission of both text and images via public switched telephone networks (PSTN) and the Internet. Although the current use of Fax machines has diminished over recent years due to the advent of reliable computers and available software.

Fax machines are also known as Telefax machines, Telecopy machines or Telecopiers.

This is technology which was much used during WW2 to pass information between various military establishments and helped win the war.
