At Real Recovery, we work alongside each client to create a treatment and recovery plan that paves a sustainable pathway to a meaningful life in sobriety. Our strength lies in working with men and women who have learned to doubt their own potential, and teaching them that while recovery is hard work, it can be a far more rewarding experience than active addiction ever was. The combination of transitional living services and clinical treatment programs prepares clients to achieve their full potential mentally, physically and spiritually while empowering them with the skills necessary to live as an independent and productive adult.

REAL LOCATION

Real Recovery has its home in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Our recovery residences are located near downtown Asheville, North Carolina, so our residents can work on their recovery while getting the most out of sober living in Western NC.

We chose Asheville for several reasons - the most important of which is its healing reputation. Since the early 1900s, many have flocked to Asheville for its natural healing modalities. The area has long been a center for those seeking healing and renewal, and we’re thankful to be able to grow and recover here together.

REAL TREATMENT

Real Recovery offers a structured Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) that is appropriate for young women and men who have misused substances or those who are struggling with active addiction.

This 30-day program includes 30 clinical hours per week. Upon admission, each client receives a Real Recovery Skills Handbook that allows both staff and clients to track milestones and topics while under clinical care.

Instead of attending work and/or school, clients focus solely on treatment goals such as collecting sober/clean days, expanding their recovery support network, and learning recovery and mental health skills.

Program Components

Real Recovery offers a gender-separate Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that meets 3 days per week for a minimum of 10 hours and focuses on experiential activities, which provide a hands-on, active and fun approach to teaching therapeutic concepts. This program is appropriate for those who strive to establish and maintain a healthy who strive to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle and genuinely desire freedom from substance misuse.

Real Recovery oReal Recovery offers a theme rotation for clients that focuses on not only the primary substance use diagnosis but engages clients in many other areas that they have often struggled with both before, during and after their addiction. Our experiential theme rotation focuses on:

Real Recovery’s Outpatient

Program (OP) is recommended

for men and women who

demonstrate a lessening need

for intensive therapeutic support

as they transition from treatment

Real Recovery serves young men ages 18 to 28 and those in their late 20s or early 30s on a case-by-case basis.

We equip women with the skills and tools needed to help them rebuild their lives, reconnect with loved ones, and recover from substance abuse.

Focusing on providing a supportive, nurturing environment, our program leverages a variety of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) medication to help provide a safe, structured, and responsible to help provide a safe, structured, and responsible sober living environment. Sublocade™ is a once monthly, injectable form of Burprenorphine that has proven effective for those suffering from opioid addiction.

FAMILY FOCUSED RECOVERY

Young adults in substance abuse treatment are met with unique challenges such as securing employment, creating a schedule, returning to educational institutions, and paying bills. Often due to addiction, young adults have not met these developmental milestones which has strained both the person with addiction and their family.

Real Recovery’s treatment approach is centered around helping young adults and their families move towards a meaningful life together while helping the person with addiction progress through the developmental trajectory of young adulthood.
