An Independent Public School Thursday 5 December 2019 TERM 4 NEWSLETTER No.19 Week 8 From the Principal CHRISTMAS CONCERT 10 DECEMBER 7PM Next Tuesday, we invite parents and extended family members to our annual Christmas Concert. This concert is a whole school event and we look forward to this evening with excitement. To assist with parking the school oval will be available to park your cars. This should minimise any verge parking along Redgum Drive. We also ask that parents note the following: Kindy, Pre-Primary and the Year 6 Performance Group students, need to be at school by 6.30pm. All other students need to be in their classroom by 6.45pm. After the Kindy students have performed their item, they will be taken to the Make a Space Room, (next to Science Room opposite the Canteen) where they can be collected by their parents. Parents are reminded that all students will remain with their classroom teacher for the duration of the concert. If parents of Pre- Primary students choose to collect their child, this is fine, however, we ask that you take them home and not remain at the concert. As the event is usually completed by 8.30pm, we encourage all families to stay until the end and support all classes who are performing on the night. Parents are reminded that this event is an alcohol and smoke free event. Should older siblings attend this event we kindly ask that they remain with their parents. We do not want students on the basketball courts, play equipment or wandering the school, as teachers cannot provide supervision. Non- compliance with this request is disruptive and distracting. DRAMA CLUB

Drama club has been running on Wednesday and Thursday at lunch times throughout term four. It has been run by Miss Sheridan who is completing her Masters of Teaching at ECU. The students learnt about mime, characterisation, improvisation and prop and costume making.

Students creatively created their own super hero characters and then designed and made a mask and accessory to match.

Miss Sheridan was proud of each member of the drama club and was excited to see how much they developed in their drama skills.

On behalf of the school we would like to thank Miss Sheridan.

    THANK YOU
