An Introduction toStop Motion Animation
What is Stop Motion Animation?• A technique used to make an object moved by
a person appear to move on its own• The object is moved a small amount and a
picture is taken• This makes objects appear to move when the
pictures are played quickly one right after the other – think of a flip book!
What are good objects to use in stop motion?
• Dolls or toys that have moveable arms and legs
• Building toys such as Legos or magnetic tiles• Drawing can also be incorporated into a stop
motion video – can you guess how?
