P R E S E N T A T I O N The Fazza International Para Athletics Championships was organized since 2009 by Dubai Club for the People of Determination under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and President of the Dubai Sports Council. The Fazza International Para Athletics Championship is one of the most popular competitions all over the world due to the best standard of Organiser that set forth its high performance level. Since 2009 the increase of participants each year credit to a remarkable performance of our best athletes who affiliate in this championships. The 2018 edition will be a World Para Athletics Grand Prix Championships.

The Competition

Organizer: Dubai Club for People of Determination Chairman: Thani Juma Berregad Date: 10– 17 March 2018 Venue: Dubai, United Arab Emirates GENDER: (Male and Female) Track: 100-200-400-800-1500-5000 Field: Shot Put, Discus, Javelin Club Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump Classes: 10-20-30-40-50-60

ELIGIBILTY: To be eligible for entry, an athlete must hold an active IPC Athlete Licence for the 2018 season. Athletes with International ‘New’, ‘Review’ and ‘Confirmed’ sport class status are allowed to enter.

CLASSIFICATION: PI, VI and II classification will be available for athletes entering the competition with a New (N) or Review (R) status from 10 March to 12 March 2018.

An athlete will only be permitted to undergo International Classification if he or she:

• Is registered and/or licensed with World Para Athletics in accordance with the relevant provisions in the World Para Athletics Classification Rules and Regulations;

• Has provided the required Medical Diagnostics Form and supporting medical documentation via SDMS by 26 January 2018.

• If the classification schedule is full, licensed athletes at the time of final entry will take priority over registered athletes.

GOVERNING RULES:

The Track and Field events will be held in accordance with the World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations 2018-2019.

Valuable Prices and Medals will be attributed to the Three First in each event, combined classes will be considered as a single event.

DOPING CONTROL:

Athletes participating in the 10th Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics Grand Prix could be subject to Anti-Doping tests in accordance with the provisions of the IPC Anti-Doping Code and WADA International Standard. On the acceptance of this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights claims for damage I have or may have against Dubai Club for the People of Determinations, the sponsors and all organizers and successor that may arise as a result of my participation in 10th Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics Grand Prix.

I attest and certify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the competition of this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licenses medical doctor in my country. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of Dubai Club for the People of Determination, IAAF and World Para Athletics. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising.

NOTE: Athletes participating in the 10th Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics and WADA rules. The Participation in the competition will be considered as an acceptance to drug testing and publication of the results to the concerned parties Athletes found positive for the banned substances will be disqualified from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions. Athletes who wish to have any training on the roads outside the training sessions previewed by the LOC will do that on their own responsibility and there will be no escort for them. (NB: Parents or Legal Guardian will sign for the participants under 18 years)

A C C O M M O D A T I O N The Al Bustan Hotel is the official hotel for all the Athletes and officials during the World Cup. This Hotel offers accommodations in accessible single, double and triple rooms.

1.1 TYPES AND ROOM CHARGES

• Single Room - USD 170 per night including 3 meals per day

• Double Room - USD 280 per night including 3 meals per day

• Teams who arrive on 10 March before 06:00 and want to have access to their rooms will charged for one additional night, after 06:00 the hotel room will be available at no additional charge.

• On 17th March 2018, teams wish to stay in their room after the check – out will be charged for one additional night. Teams are allowed to stay in the hotel lobby at no additional cost.

1.3 CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

50% of payment will be refunded if cancellations are made before 1 March 2018.

No payment will be refunded if the cancellation from 2 March 2018.

T R A N S P O R T A T I O N S Transportations will be provided to all Athletes and Team Officials from / to Dubai International Airport to the Official competition hotel. The distance between the airport and hotel is 6km and it will take 15 minutes by car or bus. The Distance between the competition venue and the official competitions hotel is 500 metre and it will take 5 minutes by car or by bus, the walking distance is also 500 metre and it will take 8 minutes.

V I S A Visa invitation letters will be provided by the LOC to all Athletes and Team officials that may require. In order to obtain your invitation letters, you must full complete the Visa Letter application and include a copy of your passport. This must be sent directly to the LOC at fazza.dubai2018@gmail.com by no later than 15 February 2018.

The emirate’s government is constantly working to improve its commercial transparency and introduce dynamic regulations that aid the formation of small and medium enterprises. Dubai’s economy is no longer reliant on oil, but is more diversified, relying heavily on trade, services and finance sectors. With its central geographic location between Asian and European markets, Dubai has worked hard to establish itself as an integral part of the global trade mechanism.
