The Adult Vocational Academy is a combination of literacy training, vocational training and connection to local employers that allows you to achieve an industry valued credential and to access employers hiring for that credential. Through a partnership with Tarrant County College, this is offered at no cost to you, if eligible.
STUDENT perks
ACCOUNTING TECHNICIANENROLLING Now:In the Accounting Technician Program, you will learn the skills you need to
records for organizations.
Topics covered include:
• Bookkeeping
• Accounting
• Keyboarding
You will also learn how to use specialized computer accounting software to:
• Record and calculate data
• Manage databases
Afternoon Track: 12:30P.M. - 4:30P.M.
Evening Track: 5:00P.M. - 9:00P.M.

The academy enhances your basic skills and provides vocational training while supporting you with skills classes and wrap around services to address any obstacles that may arise.
If you do not have a High School Diploma you will receive instruction to achieve that goal prior to entering training. You will move through the model in a supportive group to reach your goals. Career and post-secondary education exploration related to the industry and preparation to secure that job is included.
