An online web-based programme for eye health professionals Seven cases each comprising a series of seminars based on clinical case studies, linking academic knowledge with practice. Also visual field assessment, target pressure, and an approach to a patient with multiple ocular pathologies. Case 5 - ICE syndrome discussing assessment of the cornea, iris and gonioscopy and an approach to secondary glaucomas. Case 6 - Paediatric Glaucoma, presentation of congenital glaucoma, the differential diagnosis and the management. Case 7 – Assessment of a glaucoma suspect reviewing visual field findings, disc haemorrhage and future management.

Seven cases each comprising a series of seminars based on clinical case studies, linking academic knowledge with practice.

Case 1 - underlying pathophysiology of optic neuropathies: relative afferent pupillary defects, colour vision testing, interpreting visual fields and identifying physiological versus non-physiological visual loss.

• An online web-based programme approved by the Optometrists Association Australia (OAA) for a maximum of 28 CPD points, commencing February 2012.

• All cases have been produced by qualified glaucoma specialists.

• Participation is available to any eye health professional. The CPD points awarded are for optometrists who are members of OAA.

• The programme consists of 7 courses, each with a case history, questions and answers for self-directed learning, followed by an associated web-based examination.

• The examination associated with each case is made up of 20 questions - 10 multi-choice and 10 true/false.

• Two attempts are available to achieve the 70% pass required by OAA.

• Each successfully passed course attracts 4 CPD points as approved by OAA.

• Successfully passing all 7 courses awards the maximum 28 CPD points.

• The cost is AUD $250 per programme i.e. for up to 7 cases.

• CPD points are only allocated to each course(s) completed prior to 30th November 2012.
