an unforgettable picnic
TRANSCRIPT
An unforgettable moment in my life.
There was a moment of our family day, my father decided to have a picnic at a beach. All of us
thought that this was wonderful choice for our family to spend time together. Everyone agreed and
quickly get ready. We worked together to prepare the things we need for the picnic. My sister and with
her family members helps cooked some delicious food and prepare some juices while the rest of us
packed some extra clothes in the bag. My two children also look so excited. All of us felt very excited.
We put the things that had been prepared into my father’s car. At about 9.00 o’clock in the
morning, we left our house. On the way, we had fun. The kids sang. We joked and chatted among
ourselves. It was an exciting moment.
Suddenly one of our cars made some strange noises and broke down. It was mine. I stopped
the car at the side of the road to see what went wrong. While I was checking the car problem, my wife
went out to hold an umbrella over me so that I would not feel too hot. My elder brother tried to help me.
Some of the kids were sleeping in the car.
After about half an hour I managed to repair the car. We gladly jumped into the car and
continued out journey. Finally we reached out destination an hour later. There was already a big crowd
at the beach. Sound of the waves hitting the beach sand can be heard too. Without wasting any time,
we quickly laid out things on the sand. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time at the beach.
Finally at 5.00 p.m, we went back home. Although we were tired, we still feel happy and had
fun. It was an unforgettable moment in my live.

A. Knowledge Acquisition
Task 1
CHILD LEARNS from his elders. If you teach your child smart financial habits during
childhood, this will last him a lifetime.
“If a child has a frugal parent, he will learn wise money management; but he can be
equally influenced by indulgent spending,” says Carol Yip, author and personal financial
coach and operator of the www.abacusformoney.com website. Spend on your need, not
your wants, and incorporate financial discipline in your daily activities.”
Explain the concept of budgeting to your child. Take him shopping, and let him help
source for cheaper prices, make payments and participate in family financial meetings,
adds Yip.
Start giving him monthly allowance at six or seven years old recommends Brandon
Liew, chief executive officer of MoneyTree, a specialist in financial literacy.
“Beginning with a small amount, watch he spends it and discuss his spending habits
with him,” says Liew. “When he can master this allowance, gradually increase it.”
Teach your child to regularly review his spending and help him keep a record of his
expenses, adds Yip.

Reflection
I’m glad and thankful to Allah for giving me the chance to complete this coursework in time. At first i
thought it was going to be very difficult for me doing this assignment. It is because I haven’t been
exposed to English Language for a long time. There are many things about English when I was in
school that I have already forgotten.
What ever it takes I have to try to finish this because it is compulsory. My lecturer has given me
and the rest of us this interesting assignment. At the moment I’m trying to complete this coursework, I
realise I am able to remember some of it. I should be thankful to those people who have supported me
including my wife, friends and colleagues in giving some advice and guidance.
I will be a miss because I will not have this kind of English Language assignment again after i
go back to school and continue my work. It would be like a new and extra knowledge for my lifetime
forward.
