The mast head of this contents page is big and bold and it clearly states what that this page is the contents page. It also follows the house style colours.On the left hand side of the page there is a list of bands with page numbers next to them so the consumers of the magazine can get straight to the page they want with the band they want.

There is a preview of an article on the contents page so the reader can get in idea of what is going to be in the rest of the magazine. At the start of the article drop caps is used to make it a little bit more interesting to look at and to initiate that, that is the start of the article.

In the bottom right corner there is an advert telling people how to subscribe to the magazine. This is used here because regular consumers of the magazine may want to et the magazine in a quicker more efficient way.

On the right hand side of this contents there are a few headlines and some page number, these headlines are what are considered to be the most interesting/important articles in the magazine.

The magazine has put page numbers next to all of the artists included in the magazine, this has been put here because it’s right at the font of the magazine and the readers of the magazine will appreciate it as they don’t have to search the whole magazine just to find the band they want to read about, plus they can see who is in it before they buy it.

The article has been placed in the middle of the page to show its importance. This is a good idea to lay out the page this way because consumers of the magazine wont be able to miss it and they’ll be more than temped to read it. Another good reason for putting the article there is because it may be the best/most important article in the magazine so this will save the readers of the magazine having to find it because it is right in there faces.

On the right hand side of this contents there are a few headlines and some page number, these headlines are what are considered to be the most interesting/important articles in the magazine.

An advert has been places here because it is to do with the magazine and to go with getting it more money because it is asking people to subscribe to the magazine.

On the left hand side taking up most of the page is a picture of an artist performing at a concert, this seems to be the biggest story due to its publicity on the page.

In the bottom left of he page the magazine gives you the opportunity to subscribe to the magazine and have them delivered to your door.

In the bottom right corner there is a list of what is in the magazine with page numbers; in this list there are some words highlighted in red, I think this is to draw the readers attention to the most important information in the magazine.

In the top right quarter of this contents page there are three images of some singers that are featured in the magazine, this will help to entice the reader in to buying the magazine because the artists may be someone they are highly interested in.
