Kerrang • The title of the magazine is called Kerrang.

• Kerrang is also a made up word, when said it sounds like a rock metal slang word.

• The Word Kerrang is in a dark bold colour. This helps it to stand out from the background. It also has a distressed look as it has messy slits through it.

• The letters are also really close together again to add to the distressed look and also adds to the individuality.

• Kerrang is so established that we automatically no that what is on it must be big and popular.

• “Tonight alive” is in yellow capital letters . It also has a black background to help it stand out and also look rebellious because it is in a large font an is also larger than master title.

• This text about Jenna Mcdougall is written in a Type writer font. This is because her album cover uses this type of font so they have tried to relate her to the magazine cover.

• This font also has a journalistic effect and looks slightly more professional.

• The small images on the side are taken to look less photoshoped. They have tried to make them look more like selfies.

• They also make the images more rebellious and in a laid back rock style.

• The subheadings have been written in a handwriting style font

• This makes the magazine look a little bit more messy and distressed.

• The image of Jenna McDougall has a slightly 3D effect compared to the others images.

• She is also holding dynamite, this gives it a more dangerous and rebellious effect.

• They have also positioned her to make it look like she is going to throw the dynamite.

• The image at the top of the page is an emoji type face that Is related to nirvana.

• The face looks liked a stoned face as it has a wobbly smile with its tongue sticking out and crosses for eyes

NME• The title of the magazine is NME.

• It is in a bold red colour which helps it stands out even more from the white background.

• It is in capital letters to give it a rebellious look and it is also in large font because it is the master head so needs to be one of the main features. It also needs to appear to be the master head.

• The frame around her looks more personal as it looks like she is taking the image herself.

• The frame is also at an angle which gives it a quirky look and also matches with everything else on the magazine which is also at an angle.

• The image on the cover is the feature image. It looks slightly more personal as it looks like she is taking the image of the 3 of them.

• They are also the main feature as this shows the magazine or the majority of the magazine will be about them.

• The subheadings are aligned around the edge of the frame which keeps it from look to crowded as this magazine is much more simplistic.

• It is also in smaller font which shows that they are not the main feature of the magazine.

• All of the subheadings are in capital letters which makes it look rebellious.

• Everything about this magazine is simplistic compared to Kerrang.

• This is written in a red simple font to make t stand out fro the name and also the frame.

• It is in a text box which is also matchng with the angled look.

• Haim is written in Capital letter and a different font and colour to again show that it is the feature of the magazine.

• It is in a white text box so that it clearly stands out over the image.

Q• The Tile of this

magazine is Q.• The master head is

very simple as it has a red background with Q in white and in a capital letter to make it stand out from the red.

• The Q is also the same colour as the main background so the red separates the Q from the white in the background.

• This is an example of extra advertisements that are music related but not band related, its more related to you and is there for your entertainment.

• It also takes up a lot of the corner that they couldn’t fill.

• This is an image of the Arctic Monkeys. They are the feature image as they are the key band in this edition of the magazine.

• From the image you can tell that the larger figure is the lead singer as he is the bigger image and his band members are more in the background.

• He is also the only one looking straight ahead as the others are at an angle and looking forward.

• The subheadings are all bunched up together down the side of the magazine. Compared to the other magazines I analysed this is fairly common in a magazine.

• The sub headings are keeping with the red and white them as the font are those colours

• Like the other magazines the text is all in capitals to make it stand out a little.

• To highlight the key band even more they have written Artic in Capital letters to make it stand out and make it clear alongside the image.

• They have again stuck with red and white and written in in white to make it stand out over the image.
