Masthead: This is the masthead, They have done this in a very bright colour so that it is noticeable that this is the Brand of the magazine.

Main Cover Image: This main cover image is a Medium Close-Up. This is very popular with magazines, Not all magazines use this production technique but it is used a lot.

MIS EN SCENE:The fonts used on the cover are very bold and easy to read, This is very modern and fresh. The font colours are also bright colours, This makes the magazine very noticeable and works with the music Genre, As it is Indie and rock. The lighting on the cover image makes you focus on the person photographed, Its bright which makes the magazine look fresh and new. The model’s clothing is iconic to the music and so is the hair, It’s a bit messy and different. No props are used in this cover and this shows the minimal yet fresh cover as it keeps the focus on the model.

Masthead: The masthead is bright and big which is easy to see. This is so the audience know the brand of the magazine.

Main Coverline(splash): The main coverline is very basic but spread out all over the magazine, This is to show it’s a big feature in the magazine. The name of the band is even bigger then the masthead, This is to emphasis and create attention to the feature in the article.

Barcode, Issue number, Date, Price: This is a generic convention needed on all magazine to give the audience basic information on the magazine.

Coverline: This is to show the readers other important articles inside the magazine

An important featured article that would attract the readers as it shows something interesting and important inside with a vibrate outing to it which makes it eye catching and something you read first. Which gives a good impression about what's inside.

Miss En Scene: The whole concept of the magazine cover is that it is very basic, It’s mainly all about the models on the magazine. The colours used are very basic and bold, Using bright red, Yellow and Black. This is to go with the whole plain aspect of the magazine. The photo is a Mid Shot of the band. The photo is very casual, The bands clothes are connected to the artists they are and the music Genre they come from. The photo shoot looks like it was set somewhere abroad which then makes the cover bright and attractive. The font is Bold and basic which continues the House Style which is very clean.

Masthead: Its the known brand for the band and stays the same for all of the magazine, It is big and noticeable so the audience can see what magazine it is straight away.

Puff: This is used to grab the readers attention and emphasis what's inside

Barcode, Price , Issue number, Date: On every generic magazine cover, Information for readers

Miss En Scene: The fonts used on the front cover are quite individual especially with the main cover line, This is to create attention to it. The colours used are all connected and mainly, Pink, Yellow, Black, Red. This keeps it basic yet bright. The cover image is a medium close up. The background to the model is white with a brightened lighting with a drop shadow to add an effect. As its not distracting it keeps the attention focused on the model. The make up on the model is blood on her face which goes with the cover line for her ‘what's so bloody good’. A prop used is a tiara. Overall I feel the

An attractive inside article which would make viewers want their ‘minds blown’ and sounds interesting which makes the reader want to read more

Headline: Always bold and used to attract and show the reader a main feature inside the magazine which will make them want to purchase the magazine

Coverlines: the coverlines on a magazine are used to show the reader the main feature articles inside the magazine

Masthead: The masthead is the normal Q magazine masthead. It is bright and very bold this is to make it very easy to see that this is the brand of the magazine.

It shows that this is a special edition magazine as it says it is the 300th issue.

Coverlines: These are used to show the audience what the main features are going to be in the magazine and attract the audience into wanting the magazine.

Barcode, Price, Issue number, Date: These are all put on every magazine cover as they are basic information for the reader.

Miss En Scene: The main image is Medium close-up. The lighting used for the image is brightened to make a more of a clean effect. The background is also a bright white, I think this to make sure that he magazine is not to clash with the other colours on the magazine as very basic colours have been used, Red, Black and white. With gold for the ‘300th issue’ sticker. The model’s make up is very glamorous which is expected with a female artist. The main cover image is also connected with the way splash is worded. It says ‘Blow us away’ and with the photo her hair is being blown back. I think this is successful and looks good. No props are used but the model’s clothing matches her nails. The whole aspect of the magazine is that it is a clean and bright magazine, Which isn’t all clashed together, Its nicely presented. Apart from the coverlines are quite squashed together but I think this it to give the Cover star more of a leading role and take up more of the actual cover, especially as it is a special edition

Main Coverline (splash): It is connected with the main cover image and ADELE is very big , This is to emphasis who the artist is and to make the readers look more as it stands out and catches your eye straight away.
