Plastic waste is increasing due to increase in population, urbanization and development.
The disposal of waste plastic has become a serious problem globally due to their non-biodegradability.
Plastics can be divided into two major categories: thermoset and thermoplastics.
INTRODUCTION
4 Waste plastic bag causes environnemental pollution
Plastics melt to form an oily coat over the aggregate and its mixture with bitumen is laid on the road surface like a normal tar road.
For Plastic roads we mainly use plastic carry bags, disposable cups and bottles that are collected from garbage dumps.
5 WHY PLASTIC for ROADS
loads on pavement and Intensity of the traffic is increasing
Need of better quality of road pavement
Disposal of waste plastic is a major problem.
Waste plastic bags causes environmental pollution

8 BASIC PROCESSES BEFORE USING PLASTIC
Segregation
Cleaning process Shredding process
Collection process
Segregation Plastic waste collected from various sources must be separated from other waste.
Maximum thickness of 60 microns.
10
Cleaning Process Plastic waste get cleaned and dried.
11
Shredding Process Then different types of plastic wastes are mixed togetherShredded or Cut into small piece.
Shredding process

12 Collection process
The plastic waste retaining in 2.36 mm is collected.

14
(A) WATER ABSORPTION TEST
It is used to evaluate the toughness of stone or the resistance of the aggregate to fracture under repeated impacts. The brittleness of the aggregate is measured as Impact value.
(C) IMPACT VALUE TEST
(B) SPECIFIC GRAVITY TEST
It is used to determine amount of water absorbed by dry aggregate and measured in terms of increment of weight.
Specific gravity is the ratio of mass of an aggregate to the mass of a volume of water equal to the volume of the aggregates.
15
(D) CRUSHING VALUE TEST
(E) LOS ANGeLES ABRAsION TEST The principle of Los Angeles abrasion test is to find the percentage wear due to relative rubbing action between the aggregate and the steel balls used as abrasive.
The aggregate crushing value gives a relative measure of resistance of an aggregate crushing under gradually applied compressive load.

22 CONCLUSIONBy using the waste plastic as a coated material to theaggregates, properties of aggregates were improved withdifferent percentages of Waste plastics.
It is showed better values than conventional aggregates. Bythis the poor quality of aggregates will be improved by usingplastic as a modifier and can be used in construction.
The water absorption property has decreased and by thisthere will be less porosity and provide better resistance towater and water stagnation.
Plastic coated aggregate exhibit good nature in abrasivecharge and in impact tests.
