Application Overview GE Healthcare’s X-ray systems are “Getting Connected!” This application connects to new and legacy X-ray systems to populate powerful visualization tools, using machine data, providing valuable intelligence on how X-ray systems are being used. Analyzing machine data for outcomes focused on targeted applications, allows users to detect trends, identify root causes, and implement targeted solutions.

This product leverages the Analytics X-Ray Ingestion Service (AXIS) to automatically/regularly pull and aggregate X-ray system data, across install base systems and over time. The structured data is then provided to GE Healthcare’s analytics framework, Applied Intelligence. Within Applied Intelligence, the data is visualized in the X-Ray Quality Application to provide insights to users on quality assurance (QA) related topics, such as the Repeat/Reject Analytics (RRA) dashboards, Exposure Index/Deviation Index (EI/DI) Dashboards and Quality Assurance Procedure(QAP) Dashboards which help the user to reduce unnecessary radiation dose, meet compliance and audit requirements, and improve technologist training and operational efficiency.

Analytics X-Ray Ingestion Service (AXIS) The Analytics X-Ray Ingestion Service (AXIS) automatically and periodically extracts GE and Konica Minolta X-ray system data from a registered device, using a customer determined data extraction frequency. AXIS also supports ingestion from Philips Digital Diagnost systems manually, once the reject files are exported from the devices. Data from GE and Konica Minolta Devices is extracted using an SSH and FTPS network connection respectively, and includes acquisition/exposure parameters, technologist name, repeat/reject data, rejected image jpegs and more. Data may be extracted from registered X-ray devices without impacting clinical use and workflow.

AXIS parses the extracted system data and structures it into a database, which is then passed into the Applied Intelligence framework.

X- Ray Quality Application The X-Ray Quality Application is a collection of dashboard applications focused on X-ray department quality assurance needs. Traditionally, X-ray Quality Assurance (QA) practices have been intensively manual for the lead technologist or QA representative tasked with the responsibility. The X-Ray Quality Application is designed to help manage an effective QA program by automating processes, while providing daily updates, documentation, as well as data insights to help improve clinical, operational and quality practices.

Repeat/Reject Analytics (RRA) The RRA dashboards are focused on tracking repeat/reject rates within a department and drilling into root causes, to enable targeted technologist training.

• Display of the rejected image JPG file enables centralized training on actual images without having to go to each X-ray system

• Calculation of reject rates using two methods:

(1) Contribution Method: reject rates are calculated using the total clinical reject count as the denominator, therefore demonstrating the contribution of the parameter (exam type, technologist, reject reason, etc.) to the total amount of rejects. This metric highlight what is driving most rejects within the department.

(2) Individual Method: reject rates are calculated using the total number of acquisitions acquired for that parameter as the denominator, therefore demonstrating the reject rate performance for that individual parameter alone (exam type, technologist, reject reason, etc.). These metric highlights individual performances thus allowing tracking of related improvements over time.

• RRA Summary Report Dashboard:

- Clinical reject rate compared to set target

- Reject rate changes since previous Month, Quarter, Year
