This survey has been done in the capital city of Islamabad during the latest month of the May 2011,in some of the areas of the capital territory of Islamabad, which depicts an actual over view and a true picture of the child labor

Child labor is defined as work that exceeds a minimum number of hours, depending on the age of a child and on the type of work. Such work is considered harmful to the child and should therefore be eliminated

Pick up the garbage Sale of the shopping bags on Sunday at

weekend markets Sale of the drinks at the at the educational

institutions to earn their daily meal Polish shoe of the others at the public areas Carriage of the Lau gauge at the shopping

centres

Serve water in the public transportation areas in the hottest points

Collecting remains of the vendors specially the vegetables so that they can have meal at the end of the day

500 PKR...the one who sells the shoes at stalls 200 PKR...the one who sells shoping bags 150 PKR...the one who picks garbage 300 PKR...the one who polishes shoe at public

areas 250 PKR...the one who serves water at the

public areas in the extreme hot season

Parent have no solution other than employing their own children with the job they use to do

They expect government of any other organization to help them out

They are left with no other solution than sending their children to work and to earn

Government should take steps Parents should be aware of the conditions of

the children Parents should work hard instead of sending

their children to the outside world Home based industries should be made to

avoid child labor

Thus child labor is a curse and we should try to eliminate it at individual as well as at well as aggregate level. Without eliminating it would be very difficult to over come the problems and we will never be able to be a developed nation as today’s children are the tomorrows leaders of the nation
