Managing production operations involving preparation of production plans & schedules to ensure timely accomplishment of production targets.

Coordinating with factory management and staff to set production targets. Ensuring that production goals are reached and budgets are kept to

minimum; working out the most efficient method of producing goods. Identifying areas of obstruction and taking steps to rectify it. Scheduling and planning predictive, preventive maintenance for process

plants, and root cause analysis. Undertaking major shutdowns, de-bottlenecking of various equipments. Coordinating entire product development functions including requirement

analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development and testing requirements.

Ascertaining requirements of material for development activities in the Tool Room & interfacing with vendors for cost effective and timely sourcing of quality material.

Estimating new tooling requirements & costs; coordinating tool design revisions for design changes and reverse engineering.

Implementing Quality Management Systems across various processes to reduce rejection levels and ensure high quality standards at all the stages.

Ensuring adherence to quality in terms of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.

Conducting various tests & inspections to ensure that products developed are in compliance with pre-set technical specifications; detecting defects / faults and taking corrective actions.

Managing safety of plant operations and building a safe working culture. Increasing awareness among the employees towards maintenance of safe

working conditions.

Successfully increased the productivity of CNC Lathe from 2500 pcs/day to 4500 pcs/day. Tool Room: Reduced process rejection from 10% to less than 4% within just six months period; also reduced Dent

Mark rejection from 6% to 3% through precautionary majors and avoiding components direct contact. Tablet Punch Section: Reduced total rejection of tip damage to zero by introducing land operation before heat

treatment which was around 10%. Increased production from 300 to 400 sets/ month in 2001 to 6000 sets/ month in 2007. Played a key role in developing process for carbide lined dies/ non standard punches/ negative notch toolings. Introduced nylon polishing process for tip polishing to improve tip finish of punches. Eliminated soft CNC operation by designing one fixture on lathe machines for shaped punches. Designed fixture for punch tip hard cutting operation of shaped toolings on vertical machining centre. Visited Interpack 2005 Pharma exhibition held in Dusseldorf, Germany. Visited Switzerland and Taiwan for FAT of Studer Universal CNC grinding machine and Paragon’s CNC centerless

grinding machine Reduced subcontracting cost of dies by 20 %, worked with suppliers and simplified the process. Developed Mulitip tooling & carbide inserted dies to enhance customers’ productivity. Currently handling around 100 people team including management & workforce. Received 3 star for successful 1S audit completion ( Plant received 83 percent marks ). Successfully migrated Tablet Tooling Business unit from Mumbai ( Kandivali ) to Shirwal ( near Pune ) with around

50 machines ( including 22 CNC machines ) and 100 workforce. Worked on complete machine cellular layout planning and execution of the same in Shirwal. -Member of 5S steering committee. Many times recognitions received for urgent dispatches ensured before

scheduled date and for exceeding monthly value target.
