The heat multiplied the excitement across the nation; even the Sensex recovered the 800 points which dropped with the initial trend that was against BJP. Social Stratication dominated good governance during the campaigns. However, the voters seem rejected the highly polarized aka consolidated election campaign. In 2012, BJP got 47.85% and 38.47% vote share in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. In the recent election, the vote share increased to 49.10% and 48.60% respectively. BJP is going to form the government in Gujarat for the sixth time. BJP President Amit Shah said “These are the victory of the performance over the three dark ideas: dynasty, casteism and appeasement. And, the people prefer us to serve them. The nation is changing, entering in the new era of development. By 2022, India will successfully achieve her goal, set for a New India. ” The public ire for corruption charges and the 'maa raj' tag derailed the incumbent Congress in Himachal Pradesh. Shah informed, “Before 2014, BJP was serving in ve states and alliance in one state. Today, BJP is serving in 14 states and alliance in ve states.” “Anti-Modism tried to provoke the voters on caste and religious lines. However, the people have shown their faith on PM Narendra Modi,” he added. The political climate in Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Karnataka is aggregating for the upcoming assembly election. “BJP's victories in Gujarat & Himachal Pradesh have a major impact in West Bengal politics,” West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh added.     Anit Mukerjea: Mime as a genre has been integrated as yet another discipline in the p e r f o r m i n g a r t s , endeavoring to reach out to an audience to discover the meaning and nuances of the manifold facets of life. Keeping the tradition of mime alive to the younger generation in Kolkata, Mime exponent Kamal Naskar and his partner Dr Subhra Sanyal introduced to the audience an evening of m i m e p r e s e n t a t i o n 'Rangobango Sandhya ' (Humorous evening) staged at the Sisir Manch on

    December 15. The mime repertoire was saddled with an ensemble of seven mime items designed by Naskar to entertain his captive viewers with laughter. The evening opened with Mawshatanko (Mosquito fear) which saw N a s k a r i n a s o l o pe r fo rmance o f be ing pestered by dengue carrying mosquitoes and his attempt to stall them was all in vain despite the defence of a mosquito net. It managed to draw sustained audience interest that catered to the light entertainment.

    Anit Mukerjea: After a r ecen t , success fu l a r t workshop in Dubai, artist Syed Azhar re turns to Kolkata to hold his 7th Solo exhibition of 3D paintings, inaugurated at the South Gallery of the Academy of F i n e A r t o n Tu e s d a y November 7 and concludes on November 14. Among the sixteen large sized canvases showcased at the exhibition, some of them were bes towed with a certain potential of a strong inner force and power whose creativity is dictated by the soul. The paintings were executed in acrylic and stood out for its subtle color tones and shades, was visually nuanced to bring to the viewers the strangeness of an unknown sphere invested with elements of an undiscovered world . Azhar through his art seems to live in his own private space that endeavors to unleash the esoteric secrets from the painter 's subconscious mind.

    To survive, Syed Azhar had to be commercially minded and has designed the interiors of miscellaneous beauty salons in Kolkata. Though bas ica l ly se l f t a u g h t , h e h o n e d h i s painting skills from his father who was a cinema hall poster painter. Among his paintings mounted at the exhibition quite a number reflected the 3D effect especially¸ the two apple series titled Forbidden Apple, seemed so real with the precise natural coloring of the fruit that seem to tear out of the canvas as a result of the texture he has created. There were some other paintings l ike Success highlighting a tramcar plodding along the vast s t re tch o f the maidan s y m b o l i z i n g g r a d u a l achievement through its des t ined path . In sum Azhar's works held viewers in rapt attention in the s i l e n c e o f h i s v i s u a l depictions.

    TCVN: Kolkata, Nov 29: Tollywood actor Soumitro Chatterjee in the presence of Srikumar Banerjee and Ratul Ganguly launched the book of poems by a young advocate Sankhajit Mitra, at the Press Club. The title of the book - The lawn of Darkness - unveils Mitra as a poet with indigenous thoughts and a style of expressing the poet's pen.

    TCVN - Kolkata: OSHO Ramakrishna Meditation Centre recently organized a 3-day mega meditation camp at IBIZA Resort. Bodhisattva Swami Anand Arun from Nepal was the chief guest. OSHO practitioner Prakash Killa informed, “The camp has participation of about 300 OSHO lovers from Nepal and India.”
