    Hyderabad:A.P Society for Knowledge Networks - Jawahar Knowledge Centre(JKC) signed MoU with Autodesk A.P Society for Knowledge Networks - JawaharKnowledge Centre (JKC) signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) withAutodesk,inc., a world leader in 3D Design, Engineering and Entertainment softwareon 20/5/11 at Auditorium, UGC Academic Staff College, JNTU, Kukatpally,Hyderabad.

    The MoU is signed by Sri Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, Chief Executive Officer, A.PSociety for Knowledge Networks - Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC) and Sri VincentChong, Head, Training & Certification, Autodesk Asia Pacific in the presence of SriPonnala Lakshmaiah, Honble Minister IT & Communications, Government ofAndhra Pradesh and Sri Ajay Mishra, Principal Secretary IT & Communications,Government of Andhra Pradesh. The MoU Signing in ceremony was attended by

    Bhattacharyya, Sr. Manager (India Education Programs), Autodesk India, The MoUwill see the collaboration of JKCs and Autodesk in providing Autodesk softwaretraining and certification programs to Engineering JKCs in the state of AndhraPradesh. The MoU will further facilitate in developing the design software skills ofengineering students and faculty members, while increasing the employability ofengineering graduates through an Autodesk certification program. Training will beconducted by Autodesk-certified instructors from A.P Society for KnowledgeNetworks - JKCs. The MoU will also facilitate the JKC students to utilize Autodesksoftware which is made available free-of-cost. JKC students and faculty memberscan download the software and IEG V JKC will offer free training on the software toJKC students and facilitate certification.

    The training otherwise would cost about Rs 30K in private institutes. Autodesk willprovide discipline-specific education software suites, which include its flagshipproducts AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Alias,Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya to all JKC Students. Sri PonnalaLakshmaiah, Honble Minister IT & Communications, Government of AndhraPradesh addressed the gathering as It is one more step forward in AndhraPradesh through this MoU to make Autodesk training available to engg students andmake them employable.

    The AP government is keen, sincere and putting up all the efforts to bridge the gapamongst Government V Educational Institutions V Industry. Creation of

    employment and building of employable industry grade skills is today the majorconcern to the government and we are working towards it through the JawaharKnowledge Centers. Today many other states in India like Rajasthan, Gujarat,Orissa, Bihar, etc are looking forward to replicate the JKC Program in theirrespective states. Lakshmaiah Gaaru said Today A.P. produces around 30% of

    engineering students in India passing out each year and hence these 200 thousandsengineering graduates passing out each year need to be trained to make thememployable which can be achieved through Train the Trainer program. TodayHyderabad is recognized by NEW YORK CITY NEWS as the only city in India whichis livable and good to do business, As today Hyderabad can boast of its connectivityworld wide and its world class infrastructure. He further added By 2015 weenvisage Rs 70,000 crore IT Exports revenue from its present 36,000 IT Exportrevenue which was clearly visible with number of companies participating in TheAdvantage AP Summit conducted last year. Many IT / ITeS are comming forward inestablishing their offices today in Hyderabad. TheMoU in addition will also facilitate branches other than IT or Computer Sciencethrough career specific software related education.
