5 steps to successful marking?Assessment day!
1) Student looks back at targets and DIRT from
previous module. A 10-20 minute DIRT session precedes the
assessment.
2) Student completes their piece and writes a short reflection on how they think they have done.
3) Teacher corrects and applies school literacy policy. School stamp shows WWW/EBI in relation to previous targets.
Teacher sets new target(s) Overall level/grade is recorded and whole
school stamp circled.
4) Student plans a PEE response. Student also records the level/mark achieved, and adds their current “working at” grade to the front cover
sticker.
5) 10-20 minute reflection/DIRT 2 weeks later.
Student re-visits target, chooses common error(s) from previous piece and
applies to next module/unit.
Student now turns attention to next assessment!
