EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

BT OPENREACH DEFUSION April 16-PresentFibre Planner/ Surveyor

Working on the BT network as a Surveyor planning and designing the superfast fibre optic broadband to FTTP, the work involves surveying the premises with the NAD ID that we are assigned, finding the Splitters, FDP and manifolds either UG or OH, once the walk off as been completed we have to do the build out for cabling to provide FTTH, planning and designing from either the Splitter or FDP to provide PMC, CBT when there isn’t enough build out on the network, A55 have to be written up and planned for the design to be passed. A55 have to be done for CABLING, CIVILS, TREE CUTTING, POLLING.Also when there are issues with Civils, tree cutting and polling I plan and design the polling and civils, and making sure that D-poles are replaced by new poles.

Contracting with Agencies August 15-Present

Over the last few months I have been working on various contracts doing data and fibre cabling i.e. CAT6, CAT6A, CAT5E, CW1308, MULTI PAIRS I have been installing the cables in and doing the terminations and testing with Fluke and DTX testers, also I have installed white PVC trunking and metal work for the containment to install the cables. I have been doing MM and SM fibre terminations and testing with light source and OTDR testers, terminating into patch panels and fibre joints above and below ground. Installing wireless access systems for the NTSCC for them to link up all the schools within an area to support the network between locations. Fire security and door access systems for local business for a local company within the Newcastle area. Working for an electrical company assisting the lead engineer in the install of the electrical cables and installing dado trunking to house the sockets within offices and commercial businesses. Also doing CCTV installs and door access for companies through the agencies and VOIP contract for the royal mail contract. Working on 02 and EE roles outs on the network, also working on live BT networks on different locations that the hub is located.

Sierra Support Services Jamaica April 15-August-15

My role on this project is supervisor to FTTH in Jamaica, this includes providing jobs packs and matrix to the contractor and overseeing all the FDT,SCC,FATS enclosures and making sure all the fibres are on the correct splitters so the network is correct once the OTDR testing is started, all the network is in the air so this is a very challenging role which I have enjoyed working on such a large network in the Caribbean, I provide a daily report to the client each day and if any design changes come into the network I provide a DCR record so people know there has been a design change on the new network.I have daily targets to reach and have a cost plan to keep to so the project is kept on track and report this back to the operations manager on a weekly bases.

C&O/RENEWABLES/FIBRE.JOINTER LIMITED UK/DIRECTOR October14-January15Offshore Fibre Solutions Contracting (Butendiek Windfarm)FIBRE JOINTER TESTER/ Quality Inspector- GEZHINA VESSEL

My main role on the windfarm is to route and joint the Fibre optic cable between the WTG and perform a DIVOT test and OTDR test that can be relayed back to the client. We also provide a paper format of the results as well as a data disk for the client. I also have to provide a DPR each shift to see what works have been done so we can mark off on the plans what WGT have been completed for the project. I attend a daily meeting to see what works are planned that day for us to carry out.I have also been a quality inspector on this site once all the fibres had been completed, from checking all the aspects of the WTG (I.E- routing, framework, resins, hangoffs, earthing, switch gear, defects on HV cable, labelling, cleating and general tidiness of the WTG, also mainly any defects on the HV and Fibre cable that could be a problem once the testing starts.

C&O/RENEWABLES/FIBRE.JOINTER LIMITED UK/DIRECTOR TenneT Contracting (DOLWIN PLATFORM GERMAN OTP WINDFARM) August14-September14Client Rep/Quality Inspector

My role on the Dolwin Alpha is to oversee the works for NSW and to report a Daily DPR sheet and photography’s back to the Client TenneT. The main works on this Platform that I look after is the OTDR testing and also the fibre repair within the cable cellar. Also I oversee the cable pull and the terminations joints of the HV terminations I ensure that correct steps are taken for the health and safety when the works are in progress and that the NSW engineers are following correct methods in their work on the cable pull and terminations of the HV cable. I prepare Work permits and attend the morning meetings to see what works is happening through the day so I know were the NSW engineers can start their work.I was also there to oversee the testing of the HV cables to make sure the testing was being done correctly and sign off the NSW engineers test results.

I was a quality inspector and client rep on this site, from checking all the aspects of the WTG (I.E- routing, framework, resins, hangoffs, earthing, switch gear, defects on HV cable, labelling, cleating and general tidiness of the WTG, also mainly any defects on the HV and Fibre cable that could be a problem once the testing starts.I have a very high standard of work that I like to keep to and follow all the procedures that the end client has asked for. I will only sign off a WTG once I am happy with the end product and then the client has received what they have asked for.

My main role on the windfarm is to bare fibre OTDR test from turbine to turbine and to down load the results into files for the client. I jointed the incoming fibres on the Sub-station and tested through the fibre panels to ensure the joints were all present and correct. Also on the contract I have been installing the permanent hang off for the incoming Array cables on the TB.I have been routing the 630 and 150 Array cables and earth cables with the turbines for the jointing team to follow behind me.I have been doing MCCR which is a check list to make sure the TB can be signed off by the client which I have a very good relationship with due to the amount of working time together.Doing the pull and strip from the cable laying Vessel CS Sovereign when the Array cable comes into the TB.I was a quality inspector and Fibre jointer tester/ jointer on this site, from checking all the aspects of the WTG (I.E- routing, framework, resins, hangoffs, earthing, switch gear, defects on HV cable, labelling, cleating and general tidiness of the WTG, also mainly any defects on the HV and Fibre cable that could be a problem once the testing starts.I have a very high standard of work that I like to keep to and follow all the procedures that the end client has asked for. Project Supervisor/Lincs Project offshore windfarmI worked on the offshore wind turbines on the Lincs project, my main role is fibre splicing and OTDR testing of the fibre optic cables, I also have to report back to the main contractor on a daily basis to state on what has been done on the field on each day daily reports are also part of my job role back to head office.I also helped with all the routing, hangoffs, labelling, resins, earthing, framework and stripping. The main role of my job was to do the Fibre splicing and testing, but I also got involved within the VLF, IR and Mega testing of the HV cables. This was a project that everyone needed to help each other so it was a good learning curve to get to know everything on the turbine which can only benefit me in the long run. I also had to make sure we had all the permits in place for the following day so all the engineers knew what task and what turbine they had on the day of works.
