PRODUCT DESIGN PORTFOLIO
A brand new earphone packaging design that maximize functionality of packaging, minimizes waste and in bonus, providing users another path to your music experience. This is a design project under the topic The Whole Package from 2013 RSA Design Awards, in purpose to design packaging that not only impress customers from its aesthetics and function, but also satisfy the environment.
Two music experiences in one pack.
RSA Design Project
Music Cone
It contains six components including earphone and an information sheet. A cable wrap made from cardboard for attaching the earphone. The cable wrap, earphone and information sheet will be enclose by a cardboard-made cylinder. Two semi-transparent PETE octagonal cups hold together to clamp the cylinder in place, leaving buffer space for protecting the earphone during transportation.

This package turns into a mechanical amplifying speaker in simply few steps. Firstly remove hanger and disassemble the package, take away the earphone and cable wrap. For the first time opening this package, remove two round pre-cutted areas from each octagonal cup, then insert both ends of the cylinder through the circular holes on octagonal cups. At last, slide your digital device into the rectangular hole on the cylinder and enjor music!
USER MANUAL
With brand logo and major warning points printed on, color schemes of octagonal cups can be translucent or varies depend on the color of product itself.Image of earphone will be printed on the cylinder for display purpose. The materials that build up the package used will be recyclable PETE and recycled paper.These materials are easy to go through the MRF and 100% recyclable that even the package are being used and threw away they can be recycled for other products.
The aim of the project was to explore a container for air freshener to be used in cars. The design has to hold 22ml of renewable air freshening gel pack. The product needs to be made up of no more 3 plastic components to keep cost low.

The design contains three component, top housing, base plate with built-in gel fixture, and a removable clip. They are manufactured by semi-transparent polypropylene for easy access to remaining level of gel.

By assembling or disassembling base clip, the container can either sit on car’s interior sur-face or attach to front grille of air conditioner according to user’s needs.

Home used fizzy drinks maker.
Project Design ProjectKuka is a fizzy drink maker that is appeal to household market. By improving de-fects in both appearance and operation aspects, this design project is to explore a new generation of fizzy drinks maker to replace the old generation.
KUKA
Kuka targets on families, especially families with children and teenagers. For providing users a better experience of customizing their own carbonated drinks from both aesthetic and operation, Kuka includes parceling area and flavors storage area, connected with an inclining streamline.
The flavors storage area is capable for storing three bottles of common used flavors for saving space and better organizing.
The Operation is simple. Place the bottle below sparkling area, pull down fasten the cap to the bottle with one hand. press down the button and enjoy their customized soft drinks after few seconds.
Getting the most from limit.
Major Design Project
LivingStation
Getting the most from small. LivingStation is a modular bedding unit for improving living quality for citizens. Under the issues of overpopulated, high property price and housing shortage, citizens may live in extremely abominable situation with some of their standard living needs uncovered. By making the most from the limited space, LivingStation includes bedding, pantry, working desk and storage system in one unit.
Dividing into Storage-Station, Cook-Station, Sleep-Station and Work-Station, LivingStation covers most of users’ daily living requirement within one unit. LivingStation can transform between compact mode or expand into working mode. When unneeded, ladder can be slided to rest beside the wardrobe at left to save space. Half of the upper bedding can be flipped open in an angle for better air circulation and allow more space when user using Work-Station and Cook-Station. Cooks-Station can store a small refrigerator, kettle and a sliding deck for small electric cooker. Storage-Station does not only in-clude wardrobe, but every space that can be utilized; beside the desk, end of bed, seat and corners around the unit.

Modular washroom system is presented as additional option. Together with a lavatory and shower unit that can be assembled together or utilized individually, LivingStation can further covers user’s living requirement depends on the amount of space.
Multiclasses in one, the evolution of mobility

The capacity of each featuring booths varies from 2 to 6 person depends on different classes by transforming the seat. The booths are enclosed by moveable divid-ers and a glass wall. The divider can either be opened or closed for good air circulation and information display. The glass wall is electro-chromic, so it can be either clear or opaque for providing privacy for upper class users. Another side of the glass wall, there are back to back seats which fold into walls to act as backrest for standing cus-tomers during busy period.
