King of glory, King of peaceAuthor: George Herbert

King of glory, King of peace,I will love thee;and that love may never cease,I will move thee.Thou hast granted my request, thou hast heard me;thou didst note my working breast, thou hast spared me.

Wherefore with my utmost artI will sing thee, and the cream of all my heartI will bring thee.Though my sins against me cried, thou didst clear me;and alone, when they replied, thou didst hear me.

13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ 16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; 17 and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

Liturgy of The Word

Old Testament Reading: Exodus 3:13-20

18 Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, ‘The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’ 19 But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. 20 So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go.

The Book of Psalm: 119:129-144 (Responsively)

Hear the Word of God as it is written in the Holy book of Psalm 119 beginning from the 129th verse.

Reader: 129 Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them.

130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.131 I opened my mouth and panted,For I longed for Your commandments.132 Look upon me and be merciful to me, As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.133 Direct my steps by Your word,And let no iniquity have dominion over me. 134 Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I may keep Your precepts.135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.136 Rivers of water run down from my eyes, Because men do not keep Your law.

The Epistle is written in the 8th Chapter of the Epistle of Paul to the Romans beginning from the 26th verse.26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[a] with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Thy kingdom come, O God,Thy reign, O Christ, begin;Break with Thine iron rodThe tyrannies of sin.

Where is Thy reign of peaceAnd purity, and love? When shall all hatred cease,As in the realms above?

When comes the promised timeThat war shall be no more, And lust, oppression, crimeShall flee Thy face before? Amen

The Gospel of Christ in Matt 10: 16-22The Holy Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ As written in the 10th Chapter of the Gospel according to Saint Mathew, beginning from the 16th verse.

All: Glory to you, Lord Christ.

16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.21 “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

God of mercy, God of graceAuthor: Henry F. Lyte

God of mercy, God of grace,Show the brightness of Thy face;Shine upon us, Savior, shine,Fill Thy Church with light divine,And Thy saving health extend,Unto earth's remotest end.

Let the people praise Thee, Lord!Be by all that live adored;Let the nations shout and singGlory to their Savior King,At Thy feet their tribute pay,And Thy holy will obey.

Sermon theme :The promises of God to those who wait upon Him. (Isaiah 40:31). (Chorus:When we we walk with the LORD).

Let the people praise Thee, Lord!Earth shall then her fruits afford,God to man His blessings give,Man to God devoted live; All below and all aboveOne in joy and light and love. Amen

Let us affirm our common faith in Jesus Christ by the word of Nicene Creed.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in One Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incar-nate of the Virgin Mary And was made man.

THE NICENE CREED (Congregation stands)

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accor-dance with the scriptures; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified; He has spoken through the proph-ets. We believe in one, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church; we acknowledge one baptism for the forgive-ness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

THE PREPARATION OF THE GIFTS

President: I wash my hands in innocence, O Lord, that I may go about Your altar and lift up the voice of

thanksgiving.

All: Amen.

President: Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation through Your goodness we have this bread to offer which the earth has given and human hands have made. It will become for us the Bread of Life.

All: Blessed be God for ever. Amen.

All: Blessed be God forever. Amen.

All: Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

President:

Then the President takes the offering in his hands and says with the people:

Accept we pray you, O Lord these gifts which we here bring to you as the token of our love and gratitude; and grant that they may be so wisely used, that by them the work of your Church may be prospered and your kingdom enlarged; for the glory of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

President:

President: The Lord be with you

All: And also with you.

President: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them to the Lord.

President: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right to give Him thanks and praise

It is indeed right; it is our duty and joy at all times and in all places to give you thanks and praise Holy Father, Heavenly King, Almighty and Eternal God through Jesus Christ your only Son our Lord, for He is Your Living Word, through Him You have created all things from the beginning and formed us in Your own image. Through Him you have freed us from the slavery of sin, giving Him to be born as man and to die upon the cross; You raised Him from the dead and exalted Him to Your right hand on high, through Him You have sent upon us Your Holy and life giving Spirit, and made us a people for Your own possession.

President:

Who is One God, One Lord, not only one person, but Three Persons in One Substance. For that which we believe of the glory of the Father, the same we believe of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, without any difference of inequality. Therefore with Angels etc.

orAnd now we give thanks because You have revealed Your glory and of Your Son and of the Holy Spirit, three persons equal in majesty and undivided in splendour, yet one Lord, one God to be worshiped and adored. Therefore with Angels etc.

President: Therefore with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify your glorious name; evermore praising you and saying:

All: Holy, Holy Holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

President:

All: Hosanna in the highestPage 20 of 33

Accept our praises, Heavenly Father, through Your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ; and as we follow His example and obey His command, grant that by the power of Your Holy Spirit these gifts of bread and wine may be to us, His Body and Blood; Who in the same night that he was betrayed took bread and gave You thanks; He broke it and gave it to His disciples, saying: “Take, eat; this is My Body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper, He took the cup and gave you thanks. He gave it to them, saying: “ Drink this, all of you; this is My Blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me”.

President:

All: Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:

Christ has died,Christ is risen;Christ will come again.

Therefore, Heavenly Father we remember His offering of Himself made once for all upon the cross; and proclaim His mighty resurrection and glorious ascension. As we look for His coming in glory, we celebrate with this bread and this cup His one perfect sacrifice.President continues

Accept through Him our great High Priest this our sacrifice of thanks and praise and as we eat and drink these holy gifts in the presence of Your Divine Majesty renew us by Your Spirit, inspire us with your love, and unite us in the Body of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through Him, and with Him, and in Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit, with all who stand before you on earth and in heaven. We worship you, Father Almighty in songs of everlasting praise.

Blessing and honor and glory and power be yours for ever and ever. Amen.

The President breaks the consecrated bread, saying:

The Bread which we break, is it not the communion of the Body of Christ.(He then lays his hand on the cup and says).

The cup which we bless is it not the communion of the Blood of Christ?

Though we are many, we are one body, because we share in one Bread.

Silence may be kept.

How sweet the name of Jesus soundsAuthor: John Newton

How sweet the Name of Jesus soundsIn a believer's ear!It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds,And drives away his fear.

It makes the wounded spirit whole,And calms the troubled breast;'Tis manna to the hungry soul,And to the weary, rest.

Dear Name, the Rock on which I build,My Shield and Hiding Place,My never failing treasury, filledWith boundless stores of grace!

By Thee my prayers acceptance gain,Although with sin defiled;Satan accuses me in vain,And I am owned a child.

Jesus! my Shepherd, Husband, Friend,O Prophet, Priest and King,My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End,Accept the praise I bring.

Weak is the effort of my heart,And cold my warmest thought; But when I see Thee as Thou art,I'll praise Thee as I ought.

Till then I would Thy love proclaimWith every fleeting breath,And may the music of Thy NameRefresh my soul in death! Amen

What can wash away my sin

Author: Robert Lowry 1876

What can wash away my sin?Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again?Nothing but the blood of Jesus.RefrainOh! precious is the flowThat makes me white as snow;No other fount I know,Nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my pardon, this I see,Nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing this my plea,Nothing but the blood of Jesus.RefrainNothing can for sin atone,Nothing but the blood of Jesus;Naught of good that I have done,Nothing but the blood of Jesus.Refrain

This is all my hope and peace,Nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness,Nothing but the blood of Jesus.RefrainOh! precious is the flowThat makes me white as snow;No other fount I know,Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Now by this I'll overcome—Nothing but the blood of Jesus,Now by this I'll reach my home—Nothing but the blood of Jesus.RefrainGlory! Glory! This I sing—Nothing but the blood of Jesus,All my praise for this I bring—Nothing but the blood of Jesus.Refrain Amen

Post Communion Sentence:

Rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you also may rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. 1Pet. 4:13

God is with us, God is with us, So our brave forefathers sang, Far across the field of battle Loud their holy war cry rang; Though at times they feared and faltered, Never once they ceased to sing: God is with us, God is with us, Christ our Lord shall reign as King! God is with us, God is with us, Christ our Lord shall reign as King! Amen

All:

President:

As our Saviour taught us so we pray.

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours now and forever. Amen.

Father of all we give You thanks and praise, that when we were still far off You met us in Your Son and brought us home. Dying and living He declared Your love, gave us grace, and opened the gate of glory. May we who share Christ’s Body live His risen life. We who drink His cup, bring life to others. We whom the Spirit lights give light to the world. Keep us firm in the hope You have set before us.

O for a thousand tongues to singmy great Redeemer's praise, the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace!

My gracious Master and my God,assist me to proclaim,to spread thro' all the earth abroadthe honors of your name.

Jesus! the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease,'tis music in the sinner's ears,'tis life and health and peace.

He breaks the power of cancelled sin,he sets the prisoner free;his blood can make the foulest clean;his blood availed for me.

To God all glory, praise, and lovebe now and ever givenby saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven. Amen

O for a thousand tongues to sing

Author: Charles Wesley (1707-1788)

Recessional Hymn:

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his WordWhat a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still,And with all who will trust and obey.Refrain:Trust and obey, for there's no other wayTo be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,But his smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear,Can abide while we trust and obey.Refrain:

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,But our toil he doth richly repay; Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross,But is blest if we trust and obey.Refrain:

Sermon Chorus

But we never can prove the delights of his loveUntil all on the altar we lay;For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows,Are for them who will trust and obey.Refrain:

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet,Or we will walk by his side in the way; What he says we will do, where he sends we will go,Never fear, only trust and obey.Refrain:Trust and obey, for there's no other wayTo be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
