Because of a friends dare he went into creative writing instead of following a political career that his parents had planned for him. He enrolled at the College of Education, University of the Philippines, but left without getting a degree. He did finish the B.S.E course at the Dr. Nicanor Reyes Memorial College in Paniqui, Tarlac and was last heard of teaching at the Salagusog elementary School, in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. II. Summary A. E. Significant incidents in the essay. Why it is significant?- The significant incident in the essay is when the frog-angling season comes. Because it is the period of leisure when the farmer has nothing to do but to cut zacate for his work animals and to see that the paddies do not leak.

- The style of the author is very nice he has a wide knowledge in the every word he used. - Words used are very rear and the ending plot is left a good lesson to learn.

C. If you were the author how would you improve the essay in terms of plot or word used, etc.- If I were the author, I will use very simple word to be easy to understand the situation or the story. And addition to that, I will add other character to have a colorful story.
