Typically, a reunion dinner is held on the eve to celebrate the occasion. Earth Day on 22 April aims to inspire awareness and appreciation for our planet’s natural beauty and vulnerability. Angsana Velavaru, an advocate of sustainable tourism, observes this day each year with a series of workshops and special activities to instil this meaningful value in guests and our staff.

World environment day

To reinforce the message of conservation, we observe World Environment Day on 5 June, a day designated by the United Nations to create awareness of the environment and enhance political attention and public action. Angsana Velavaru understands the important role each of us plays in sustainable tourism and encourages all guests to participate.

Water sports competition

Veterans and amateurs at water sports can take part in competitions to vie for the coveted title of water polo, aqua volley ball or waboba champion.

In line with the focus on sustainable tourism, Angsana Velavaru has dedicated days each year where we spruce up our house reef and lagoon to get rid of impurities that can prevent our natural environment from flourishing.
