Tigers are very deadly animals they have very sharp teeth with long thick whiskers. They move around in packs so it is easier to hunt and kill other animals. In Siberia there are tigers that live in snow and still survive. Tigers have many different talents like swimming. When Tigers find a place to stay they wee there and the smell tells other animals that there is all ready someone there.

crocodilesCrocodiles are very scary animals, they have a very big mouth

with big teeth and a very hard body. They are big and scaly with a big long tail, and they can survive in water and land. They grab stuff underwater by putting there tongue over their throat and that stops the water getting in. They usually eat wilder beasts and once they have got there prey they hold it on both ends and twist. The biggest type of Crocodile is the saltwater, it can grow up to 20 feet, 6 metres. Crocodiles are in the same group of animals as Alligators the group is called Crocodilians. They are carnivores an hunt in swamps and have not changed much in millions of years. They were alive when dinosaurs were.

Baby Crocodiles

• There are 14 types of Crocodiles in the world. A baby has to make noise to get attention, they call for their mother just like a human. Crocodiles make better parents than other reptiles. A Nile Crocodile lays about 75 eggs and berry them in sand on a riverbank. A Female Crocodile look after there eggs until they are hatched. They carry them in there month to water. Then protects them for a few week and lets them fight there own battles.

• Crocodiles do not eat much they only have a big meal every week. They do not chew there food before they eat they swallow stones which grinds their food in their bellies.

Baby GorillasGorillas are very strong animals in fact they are the

largest tip of ape. They can grow up to 5 feet and 9 inches that's the size of an adult. There are two tips of Gorilla both live in central Africa. They move in groups the head is always a male, and they are called silverbacks. The head Gorilla is called a silver back because, as it gets older the hairs on its back go silver. When Gorillas make a home they stay there until all the food is gone.

• Rattle snakes are named after the rattling sound on there tail. They use this to scare predators away and to warn them not to come near. The poison comes from its mouth not its tail. The most deadly type of Rattle snake is the Mojave Rattle snake, it lives in the North American rainforests. One bite from it could kill 15,ooo Mice. The diamond back Rattle snake is the biggest type it can grow up to 8 feet 3 inches /2.5 metres long. That’s about the size of a motorbike.

Rattle snakes eat many different things like Mice, Rats, eggs and small birds. When they have their prey they give it a venomous bite to kill it. After the Rattle snake has bit its prey the venom goes down its bloodstream. The Mojave Rattle snake has bit its prey with venom and it paralyzed it.

• Spiders come in many different shapes and sizes. Not all spiders make webs some make trap doors or trip lines. The biggest family of spiders is the jumping spiders with 4,ooo different species. There is almost 40,ooo different species of spiders worldwide. All spiders have a pair of hollow fangs that have venom in. Based on fangs there is two groups of spiders one group is called mygalomorphs. They have fangs at the front of there head that strike downwards. The over group is called true spiders they have fangs below the head that strike sideways in a pinching movement. Tarantulas are one type of spider from Italy and its the biggest type of spider. Most spiders have 8 eyes but some have 6.

Spiders catch there food in different ways the trap door spider catch their prey in a very clever way. They build a sand web and make a burrow under it. When they feel vibration they come up and get what is there. Spiders eat many different things like insects, other spiders and nectar.

Cockroaches• Cockroaches are very ancient animals they were alive when

the dinosaurs were. They have a flattened oval shaped body with down turned legs and antennae's. most types have wings but tend to scuttle round. They are great survivors and have been on earth for at least 340 million years. Many types of cockroach stink and some leave unpleasant smells behind. Cockroaches they are very weird animals and can live one week without its head They can hold there breath for 40 minutes and can run up to 3 miles an hour.

Cockroaches will eat just about anything.Cockroaches can live about 2 weeks without water and almost a month without food. They will eat anything a human will eat. They eat fruit, vegetables, bread, cereal, garbage, pet food, paper books. Wallpaper paste, crumbs that humans leave behind and glue made from animal protein. This is why they live in houses there is load of food. One species of Cockroach is different it eats wood.

Praying mantises are very strange animals. They have two antennae's and 6 legs there front legs can strike in a fraction of a second. The praying mantis is named after its prominent front legs. The more larger groups of mantis are more properly called the praying mantises. The average time for a praying mantis to live is one year. A praying mantis is o.5 to 6 in ( 1.2 to 15cm) long. A praying mantises reflexes are so quick that its difficult to see with the human eye.

They are formidable predators and snare there prey with their front legs. Before they hunt they wait until there prey comes to near. Then lash out at reachable speed then hold it with its spike forelegs. They hunt on living insects. The large pray mantises are none to feed on rodents, frogs, birds, fish and even scorpions and snakes. Praying mantises are none to be cannibals.

Bats are the only mammal capable of true flight. They have extremely elongated fingers. One brown bat can eat 1000 mosquitoes in one hour. Bats live in caves, crevices, tree migrate and some hibernate. The greatest threat to bats are humans. For the size they are they are the lowest reproducing mammal on earth. A baby bat is called a pup and pups weigh up to 25 percent its mothers body weight. The largest bat in the world is the Flying Fox.

• Bats eat insects, apples, frogs, nectar, carrots and melons most adults eat insects likes mosquitoes. Some eat small animals and very few drink blood. Nearly all of the bats in North America eat insects. Bats play an important role in keeping the ecosystem healthy and in balance. Bats are mammals and when they are young they drink milk.
