one letter left. What is the word? Staring

What’s happening in the………. Diversional Therapy Department

DT staff continues to go out daily offering 1:1 in room visits with each

resident, sometimes it’s more of a social visit and other times it’s to

play a game of cards, to work on a craft, etc. Staff continues setting

up small socially distant groups such as: Hallway Bingo, Craft time,

Matinees (shown on our facility channel), Traveling Happy Hour,

Announcement Trivia, and more. Staff is working diligently offering

supplies to work on independently such as: crocheting, mandalas,

word puzzle games, crafts, and more.

Ideas for Family and Friends? Write a daily letter. Our residents are an era that letters were the way to go. Nothing feels better than reading a letter from a loved one. Write an Email to [email protected] with the residents name in the subject line. We check and print emails and pictures several times a day! For Victorian Heights send to [email protected] Make a video, use your phone, show normal day to day stuff, silly stuff, kids, animals, familiar places. We will personally play that video during our room visits. Send flowers from a local Floral shop to brighten their room. If your resident doesn't have a phone in their room, contact the facility to see about getting one installed. Set up a Skype or Zoom appointment. Both free software you can download and use for real-time conversation.

Schedule a window visit to talk with your resident. You can call from your cellphone and talk with your resident.

Just for laughs

What do you get from a pampered cow? ……………………....Spoiled Milk………………………..

Here at ICMCF we have a resident Skype account set up to allow “face to face” communication. Family/Friends will need to have their own personal Skype account and will need to contact DT to schedule a

time. DT will connect with you prior to appointment to assure your login is on

our list.

Another service we can offer is to set up a zoom meeting which allows for multiple family members to visit on screen with their resident. Please

contact DT to schedule and we will email you the

link to attend the meeting.

Window visits are another fun way to “see” your

loved one. Please contact DT to arrange for this type of visit. You can meet in

front of their window and call them on the phone as

you visit through the window.

Resident Rights Corner In an effort to educate and keep our residents informed, we will feature sever-al resident rights each month. If you have any questions please seek out your Social Worker or any other member of the management team. You have the right : To regular, private use of a telephone. To see visitors you want to see. To Meals that meet your needs.
