political frustation of the japanses culture • Developed from woodblock printed books Ukiyo-e

• 1814 Katsushika Hokusai started to draw pictures which told short stories about samurais and war.

• Man = no volutnary Ga= draws or pictures• Post WWII saw rise of Osamu Tezuka The

father of manga and Shoujo gave the sense and feelings.
