The First Week of Advent

Reflection: The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid because God is very pleased with you. You will become pregnant and have a baby boy. You will name him Jesus. He will be great. People will call him the Son of the Most High. Luke 1: 30-32

Act of Kindness: Do a chore for someone.

“On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me a Partridge in a Pear Tree.”

The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ. A partridge often feigns injury to draw attention to herself and away from her young to protect them from danger. Because of its self sacrifice the partridge was used to represent Christ.

The money will be used to buy toys for Angel’s Place
