Grissom/Prairie View Black-Out Dance
The Grissom/Prairie View Black-Out Dance will be held on Friday, Feb. 9th
from 6-8 pm at Grissom. Tickets will go on sale next week at all lunches for $5.

Ronald McDonald House CharitiesGrissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than
$40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons
for your donations!
Cap n’ Gown Measurement Date Change
The 8th grade Cap n’ Gown measurement date has been changed from Friday,
Feb. 2nd to Tuesday, Feb. 6th!
Intramural Indoor SoccerIndoor soccer intramurals begin Tuesday, Feb. 6th, and will meet each Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:45-8:30. (with the exception of Tuesday,

Board Game ClubThere will be NO Board Game Club

Crayola ColorCycleStudents and teachers will soon be collecting used
markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook
meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic
out of landfills each year! Remember, don’t throw out that used marker – ColorCycle it!
Hot LunchTomorrow is Hot Lunch! Please
remember to thank the parents serving you. Without them, there would be no
Hot Lunch program.

Student Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 am each
morning, and from 3:10-4:05 pm Monday through Thursday.
You must arrive at the beginning of the session and
stay for the whole time!
Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge
Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles
from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please
remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we’ve saved 5,702 bottles from
landfills! Let’s beat last year’s total!
