Aurora Mental Health Center wants to help budding young artists in our community build confidence and pride in their artistic talent and expression. We encourage each of your students to submit their best artwork to our 11th Annual “Living Life to the Fullest” Art Contest and Show, based on the following theme. “What Warms your Heart, or makes you Smile?” On Thursday, November 2, 2017, we will be honoring all participating students for their excellent artwork at Aurora Mental Health Center’s Annual Community Celebration and Art Show. Most importantly, we will be giving these young artists a chance to shine and share their talents with our community. All artwork submitted will be judged by a panel of local art lovers and displayed at the Annual Celebration and Art Show to held at the Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center, 15500 East 40th Avenue. We invite all school administrators, teachers, students, and parents to attend this FREE community event (RSVP is requested). Enclosed please find a packet of flyers and entry forms to share with your students. We look forward to your participation and to recognizing some of your young protégés. Submissions: Each student in grades K-12 is allowed to enter only one art piece.There is no fee for entering. • All artwork, regardless of medium will be judged collectively.• Artwork will be divided into four categories by grade level: Grades K-3; Grades 4-6; Grades 7-8; and Grades 9-12.

• One first place winner and one runner-up from each category will be awarded a ribbon and a $100 or $50 gift certificate.• The four teachers who submitted the winning artwork will also receive a $75 gift certificate to Michael’s Arts & Crafts for their encouragement and guidance.• In addition, Dr. Randy Stith, CEO & Executive Director of Aurora Mental Health Center, will select four winners from all the collective entries to receive the “Executive Director Award” and a $100 gift certificate.

• Teachers & winners will be notified prior to the event.
