REPORT FROM THE BOARD - STRATEGIC PLANNING

In 2016, the Row NS Board embarked on a plan to develop a multi-year Row NS Strategic Plan. Thank you to Lynda Shoveller for initial facilitation of the process.

Why? The purpose of strategic planning is to set overall goals for the organization and to develop a plan to achieve them. It involves stepping back from your day-to-day operations and asking where your organization is headed and what its priorities should be.

Outcomes to date: - revised Mission and Vision statements (see next slide) - identification of key pillars and supporting values (see next slide) - alignment between Row NS and Rowing Canada

Coming soon: - Formal documents detailing these outcomes with additional details, similar to what is available from other leading provinces within our sport - Detailed work plan to guide actions and support accountability
