Conference HistoryISCT, formed in 1992 as the International Society for Hematotherapy & Graft Engineering (ISHAGE),

has been the proud host to 14 highly successful scientific conferences. The ISCT Annual Meeting has

alternated between North America, Europe and Australia. The meeting is enjoying year-to-year growth

on all measures including registered delegates, exhibitors, symposia, and abstracts and it is anticipated

that in 2009, ISCT will host over 700 international delegates.

AttendeesISCT Annual Meeting delegates are a diverse group. The largest segments of attendees are MD

and/or PhD clinicians and scientists. The next largest segments are laboratory professionals involved

in all types of cell-processing programs/facilities along with industry personnel from cell therapy

or enabling technology companies. Other attendees include regulatory professionals, corporate

Corporate Tutorial Support Tutorial time slots and support fees are as detailed below. All speakers and participants must be registered delegates for the meeting.

Corporate Tutorial Proposal ProcedureCorporate Tutorial proposals submitted by supporters will only be considered if they include the following details:

1) Rationale summarizing the educational need for the symposium including two learning

goals/objectives

2) A one-paragraph description and title of the session (not to exceed 250 words)

3) Speaker name(s), title(s)

Tutorial Supporters who are also conference supporters will be given priority in time allocations. Following

this, tutorials will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis. See ‘Symposia and Corporate Tutorial

Guidelines” on page 10 for further information on developing your corporate tutorial.


Symposia And Corporate Tutorial Guidelines Symposia or Tutorials held in conjunction with the ISCT Annual Meeting are not part of the official meeting

agenda and will be designated as Corporate Symposia or Corporate Tutorials in the meeting agenda. Companies

hosting Symposia or Tutorials agree:

1) that ISCT retains the right to approve Symposia or Tutorial content, faculty, venue and

other details.

2) that the Symposium or Tutorial will provide opportunity for open question and answer sessions

and permit evaluation by attendees; Evaluation forms would be developed, distributed and

tabulated by the supporter.

3) Tutorial planning efforts including set-up, food and beverage, audio-visual and other

arrangements, will be made through the ISCT Meeting Manager, Julie Young, unless other

arrangements are agreed upon to allow the Tutorial contact person to deal directly with the

conference center staff. In the case of the latter, the ISCT Meeting Manager must be kept

informed of all communication between the Tutorial contact person and conference center staff.

All audio-visual requirements must be arranged through ISCT.

4) that ISCT will provide a list of registered conference attendees to the Symposium or Tutorial

contact prior to the Symposium or Tutorial. If meeting staff is required on-site, the Company

will be billed separately. If audio-visual technicians are required for Tutorials, the Company will

be billed separately.

5) not to use “ISCT”, “ISCT 2009 Annual Meeting”, or the respective logos on any announcement,

sign publication, audio-visual product or other promotional materials without express written

permission from ISCT.

6) all promotional material must be approved by ISCT prior to distribution.

7) that no audio or video taping can take place without consent of ISCT; all approved audio and/or

video taping must be disclosed to the audience in the program.

8) to refrain from posting promotional signs in hotel lobbies without permission of ISCT; placing

promotional material under the doors (or door drops of any kind) of hotel guests is

not permitted.

9) Additional audio-visual, or any additional or upgraded administrative services are not included.

Food and beverage is at the cost of the symposium host unless otherwise specified..

10) the Tutorial fee does not include any costs for registration, food and beverage, additional audio-

visual, or any administrative services provided.

11) to remit the Symposium or Tutorial fee, administrative fees and Symposium or Tutorial proposal

information to ISCT; additional costs will be billed after the ISCT 2009 Annual Meeting;

checks should be made payable to the International Society for Cellular Therapy.

Applications for Exhibit SpaceApplications must be submitted to the ISCT Head Office no later than March 6, 2009 using the order form

below in order to be printed in the ISCT Corporate Conference Guide.

Eligibility to ExhibitThe Conference Management in its sole discretion will determine eligibility of any applicant to exhibit at the

Exhibition and the suitability for display of each product or service that such Applicant or Exhibitor intends to

display at the Exhibition. The decision of the Conference Management will be final and binding on the Applicant

or Exhibitor as the case may be.

Booth Allocation PolicyConference Management will confirm exhibit space upon receipt of a signed application form with payment in

full. Receipt of the application form by the Conference Management shall not confer any claim to subsequent

approval. Booth spaces will NOT be allocated until payment is received. Booth spaces will be allocated and

notification distributed on and not before February 20, 2009. All remaining booth spaced will be immediately

allocated as complete and paid applications are received.

For the information of Applicants, ISCT uses the following priority point system when assigning exhibit spaces:

1 point = Each exhibit space per year1 point = Corporate membership1 point = Each $5000 increment of support of this conference1 point = Each year of symposium support

i) Calculation of points will include past ISCT meetings starting in the year 2000.ii) In the case of equal number of points, priority will be given to the higher number of points in the past 2 years and, if still equal, the date of receipt of completed application.

iii) In the case that two past exhibitors merge, the highest number of points will be honored.

Exhibitor Services ManualAn exhibitor services manual will be sent to each confirmed exhibitor which will include rules and regulations,

vendor contact information, freight and labor deadlines, and additional furniture purchasing information.
