• Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P&T Committee) o Responsible for developing, managing, updating and administering

the formulary system that is utilized by managed health care system

P&T Competition Goals

• Develop clinical analysis, presentation and research skills

• View different styles and processes that can be used in effective formulary management

• Gain a real world perspective of the formulary management process

P&T Competition • Each team submits required written material in

the preliminary round• Each team presents their work to the judges in a

30 min video-taped presentation• Judges decide on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place based on

the quality of written materials and presentation• winning team’s video gets submitted to the

national• A total of 8 teams are chosen from all the

chapters to compete at a national level

national P&T Competition will receive $4000 stipend
