ICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES DEVELOPMENT
INSTITUTE, ALLAHABAD was set up in the year 1956 as a Branch
Institute and upgraded during 1975 as full-fledged Institute is presently
located at E-17/18, Industrial Estate, Naini, Allahabad with its branch at Chandpur
Industrial Estate, Maduadih - Varanasi. MSME-DI, Allahabad & its Branch at Varanasi
provide techno-managerial services to entrepreneurs of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. It has
facilities to train personnel from Industry in Management, Product/Process Oriented
Entrepreneurship and provides extension service to Small Scale Industries through its
common facility workshop located at Naini, Industrial Estate, Allahabad and Chandpur
Industrial Estate, Maduadih- Varanasi. Both the institutes conducted National & State
Vendor Development Programme, Sensitization/ Awareness Programme on Zero Defect
Zero Effect (ZED), Bar Code, Product Certification, Energy Efficient Technology
(EET),Design Clinic, Business Incubators, Intellectual Property Rights(IPR), Digital
Payment and provide training through Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme,
Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Skill Development Programme, Industrial
Motivation Campaign etc.
The Eastern Region of Uttar Pradesh comprises of 25 districts out of which 17 are
industrially backward. For industrial development of this region, State and Central
Government have offered a number of incentives and MSME-DI, Allahabad and Branch
MSME-DI, Varanasi have been constantly supplementing the efforts of the State
Government in spreading the industrial horizon of this region.

WORSKHOP/TESTING FACILITIES AND REVENUE EARNED
MSME Development Institute, Allahabad provides facilities and training in the
field of machining, grinding, fitting whereas Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi has such
facilities in General Engineering, Heat Treatment, Machine Ship, Fitting. Facilities for
making improved punches, dies, jigs & fixtures, tools and prototypes for new items for
Small Scale Units are also available at both the places.
During the year, MSME-DI Allahabad and Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi
undertook 105 job works benefiting 93 micro and small enterprises and earned a revenue
of Rs. 48649/-. Details of the performance of common facility workshop of MSME-DI,
Allahabad, Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi and Electronic Laboratory, Naini, Allahabad of
the last five years are given in ANNEXURE I
MSME-DI Allahabad and Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi conducted Skill
Development Training programme on the topic Fitter, Machine Shop Practice & Heat
Treatment for the benefits of Unemployed Educated Youth(UEY) as well as the SC, ST
and weaker category persons. Details of the above programmes are given in
ANNEXURE II.
ASSISTANCE/CONSULTANCY TO PROSPECTIVE ENTREPRENEURS
During the reporting year 2016-17, the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
Development Institute, Allahabad and Branch Varanasi have provided consultancy more
than 258 prospective/existing entrepreneurs. Assistance and consultancy in the field of
selection of products, location, marketing, finance as well as scheme implemented by
DC(MSME) and other Central/State Government Scheme related to MSME Sector etc.
which is more important in establishing new Enterprise. This institute as well as Branch
Institute has also awared the MSMEs about Mudra, Statrt-Up, Stand- Up, Make In India,
Swachh Bharat, Digital India (Modes of Digital Payment like POS, AEBS, Mobile
Banking, USSD, UPI, E-Wallet, Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking etc., the new central

government schemes For this purpose, Field Officers of MSME-DI, Allahabad and Br.
Varanasi rendered technical consultancy. During the period under report more than 850
visitors enquiry received in MSME-DI, Allahabad & Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi and
about 400 MSEs included CPSEs/SPSEs visited by the officers of this institute and
Branch institute for different purposes. The Institute also provided marketing/finance
related assistance to 51 units, which is for the improvement in marketing, availability of
finance and NSIC registration. A sum of Rs 1, 33,000/- was collected as fees for single
point registration of NSIC.
DISTRICT INDUSTRIAL PROFILE
The Institute prepare District Industrial Profile of 08 districts under our jurisdiction
namely Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Varanasi,
Azamgarh, Mau, Chandauli . The survey reports contain a profile of the district such as
geographical features, availability of resources, different government programmes
implemented in the district, infrastructure facilities, incentives provided by different
organizations, present set up of industrial scenario and future prospects.
During the course of survey, team members collect secondary/primary data from
Government/non-Government agencies. Then on the basis of available resources, market
trends, etc, prospective items in that district are proposed.
PROJECT PROFILES
Technical Officers of this Institute Branch at Varanasi are preparing technical
product/project profiles regularly. This year 03 number of updated project profile in the
field of Leather & Metallurgy has been prepared. This is an art of identification of new
products, which can be introduced and promoted, in the Micro Small Enterprises sector.
These profiles comprise almost all the information regarding a particular product such as

ISO 9000/14000/HACCP REIMBURSEMENT SCHEME
During the financial year 2016-17 total 01 (One) cases of ISO 9000/14000/HACCP were
reimbursed and sum of Rs. 23,250/- were paid to the applying units of our jurisdiction.

TRAINING POLICY AND PROGRAMME
The training division of this institute launches criteria for the training institute who are
interested to conduct our training programmes thought the year. The institute follows a
system to select the training institute, a panel of the officers of this institute verifies the
documents and also done the physical verification of the applying institute. If the
institutes fulfill all the required criteria than after, the programme may be started at that
institute.
For the purpose of delivering lectures in our programmer, the applying candidate submit
their Bio-data a panel of the officers of this institute verifies the documents, if the
required criteria fulfill by the candidates, than the candidate delivered a lectures in our
official programme.

TRAINING AND SEMINAR
Due to poor infrastructure and entrepreneurial skills in the eastern Uttar Pradesh there has
been very slow industrial development of the region. In order to bring about awareness
and an atmosphere for industrial development, efforts were made through organizing
Training Programme and Industrial Seminars.
A) Training:
The Institute organized various types of training programme in the form of
Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes (ESDP), Entrepreneurship
Development Programmes (EDP), Industrial Motivational Campaigns(IMC) and etc.
1. ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (ESDP)
During the year 2016-17 as against the allotted target of 06 ESDPs under the core
programme, a total number of 06 were conducted and benefiting 158 candidates
including UEY, SC/ST/Women/Minorities, PH, Weaker Section of the society . The
programmes were conducted on the topics House Wiring, Turning, Food Processing,
Computer Hardware & Networking at Industrial Training Institute, Food Lab etc. the
details of training for last three years as well as details of participants is mentioned in
figure number 1.1 and 1.2.

2. ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)
During the year 2016-17 as against the allotted target of 04 EDPs under the core
programme, a total number of 04 were conducted and benefiting 105 candidates
including UEY, SC/ST/Women/Minorities, PH, Weaker Section of the society.

3. INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATIONAL CAMPAIGN (IMC)
This year, MSME-DI, Allahabad was allotted to conduct 10 motivational campaigns.
This Institute and Branch Institute at Varanasi conducted 10 motivation campaigns
benefiting 764 persons, covering different target groups such as urban and rural
unemployed educated youth, women self help groups, college student, rural clusters and
potential rural areas having scope for industrialization.

4. NATIONAL/STATE VENDOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
This year MSME-DI, Allahabad was allotted 01 National Vendor Development
Programme (NVDP) and 05 State Vendor Development Programme(SVDP).This
Institute and Branch Institute conducted 01 National Vendor Development Programme
(NVDP) at Varanasi in which 45 MSMEs, 05 CPSEs, Various National Banks as well as
Government Departments were participated . Apart from that 05 State Vendor
Development Programme(SVDP) were also organized in association with BHEL, BPCL,
DLW etc wherein 260 MSMEs included CPSEs were participated. The details of NVDP
& SVDP for the last three years is mentioned in figure 4.1 & 4.2.

CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MSE-CDP)
Under the MSE-CDP scheme of DC (MSME), New Delhi various clusters namely: 1)
Modern Carpet Backing Plant for Tufted Carpets, Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar 2) Hi- Tech
Silk Weaving & Designing Cluster, Varanasi 3) Brass & Silver Utensils Cluster,
Mirzapur 4) Glass Beads Cluster , Varanasi were under our Jurisdiction. The details of
cluster are as under:
1) Modern Carpet Baking Plant ,Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar:
The setting up of CFC of Modern Carpet Baking Plant, Bhodahi were approved of
Rs. 517.50 Lakhs, Ist instalmant of Rs. 133 Lakhs vide O/o DC (MSME) sanction
No. 15 (8)/CDD/Carpet/ Bhadohi/UP/2008 dated 29.12.2010 and IInd instalment
of Rs. 200 Lakhs vide sanction No. 15 (8)/CDD/Carpet/ Bhadohi/UP/2008 dated
11.07.2013 were released to UPTPA, Kanpur (UP) for setting up of CFC as per
the DPR.The total cost of CFC of Rs. 517.50 lakhs is to be shared as follows:
As the progress of setting up of CFC is not as per the DPR and is very
slow, Hence a meeting were held on 12 & 13.01.2017 in which officers from
MSME-DI, Allahabad, Kanpur, Varanasi, Director of Industries, Kanpur, IICT
Bhadohi, DIC, Bhadohi, BIDA, Bhadohi, SPV & its members and were presented
to resolve the problem related to CFC and instructed to implementing agency ie
BIDA, Bhadohi to complete the work with SPV for the completion of pending
work so that the same may be handed over to SPV. The details of the contribution
of expenditure to Rs. 517.50 lakh is as under:

2) Hi- Tech Silk Weaving Cluster, Varanasi:
The project for cetting up of CFC is approved in 43rd steering committee meeting
chaired by the Secretary (MSME), New Delhi on 09.03.2017 to Rs. 1385.30
Lakhs. The approval letter of the CFC has already been issued to the State
Government. The details are as under:-

3) Brass & Silver Utensils Cluster ,Mirzapur:
The project were approved for setting up of CFC in Stainless Steel, Brass &
Silver Utensils Cluster, Mirzapur to Rs. 1669.00 Lakhs on dated 14.01.2013, due
to some problems of the land the sanction was cancelled vide DC (MSME), New
Delhi letter No.1(512)/CDD/Misc.Office/2014 dated 29.06.2016.

MD of SPV requested Commissioner & Director of Industries, Uttar Pradesh for
revoking the financial sanction vide letter No. Nil dated 21.03.2017 with the
request that the SPV acquired 4 acers of new land at different place for the setting
up of the project. After getting the financial approval he will certainly go for
purchase of seperate land which is mentioned above. The action of Directorate of
Industries as well as State Government is awaited. The details of the contribution

UPGRADAION OF LIBREARY
MSME-DI, Allahabad & Br. Institute has a well designed library with various books in
different trades and disciplines. The books are basically in English, Hindi and various
technical books in the field of Food Technology, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and
Electronics, Leather /Footwear, Computer related, Management, Project Profile
Economics, How to set up new MSEs, Success Stories, Administration related books,
Story books, General knowledge books, Current Affairs etc. for the staff , students,
educated youth and the entrepreneur. In both the library more than 2050 technical
books, 725 Hindi books, 215 books on computers, 150 ISI books, 74 books in the field of
Electronics & Electrical and 500 books related to admin & account section. Similarly Br.
MSME-DI, Varanasi has more than 2000 books in the field of Leather, Computers, Food,
Management, Mechanical, Accounts, Economics etc. in the library.
VIGILANCE AWARNWSS WEAK
Vigilance awareness week was organized in the institute. All the officers and staffs have
taken oath during the week.
NSIC CASES
This year total 53 number of application received from NSIC Allahabad, NSIC Varanasi,
NSIC Agra, NSIC Dehradun etc. at this institute and Branch Institute under Single Point
Registration Scheme (SPRS) for Government Purchase Programmes of NSIC and all
above enterprises were inspected by the technical officers and same were submitted the
report to concern office . For NSIC Technical Inspection a fees of Rupees 1, 27,000/-
were collected and submitted to Government Accounts .

VARIOUS PROGRAMME/ACTIVITIES UNDER HINDI DIVISION
In order to encourage the progressing use of Hindi in the official work and
to create interest among the Officers/Officials for its usage, Hindi fortnight
was organized from 14 September, 2016 to 28 September 2016. During the
fortnight, various competitions like Essay Writing, Poetry, Extempore
Speech and Quiz in Hindi were organized.
Hindi Divas was organized on 14 September 2016 by all the officers and
staff in the premises of MSME-DI, Allahabad.
MSME-DI, Allahabad being in the category of Ka Kshetra, the percentage
of work done in Hindi is quite high and is up to 98.55%.
Director and officer of this institute attended Town Official Language
Implementation Committee meeting of Allahabad town on dated
16.11.2016 at O/o of Income Tax Commissioner at Allahabad.
MSME-DI, Allahabad organized 04 quarterly meetings in the presence of
Director and Deputy Director Incharge in the office and 04 meetings were
also organized in Br. MSME, DI, Varanasi to assess the work done in Hindi.
Hindi workshop was organized once in a year in the premises of MSME-DI,
Allahabad in the month of 29.09.2016.

ASSISTANCE TO SC/ST/WOMEN/WEAKER SECTION ENTREPRENEURS
This Institute is regularly providing technical MSME stance by way of organizing ESDP,
EDPs, Motivational Campaign, Sensitization/ Awareness programme on Bar code,
|Design Clinic, EET, Product Certification, Incubator, IPR, packaging for Export, Vendor
Development Programme etc where SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section Entrepreneurs are
participated. Specific achievements are as under:
During the year 2016-2017, 10 number of Industrial Motivational Campaign
was organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh during the campaign 712 candidate
were participated in which 461candidates from SC/ST/Women/Weaker
Section were participated.
During the year 2016-2017, 06 number of ESDPs was organized in Eastern
Uttar Pradesh in which 158 candidates participated out of whom 67 candidates
belonged to SC, ST, Weaker & Women category.
During the year 2016-2017, 04 number of EDPs was organized in Eastern
Uttar Pradesh in which 59 candidates belonged to SC, ST, Weaker & Women
category.
During the year 2016-2017, 02 number of Awareness programme on IPR was
organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 11 candidates from
SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.
During the year 2016-2017, 02 number of Awareness programme on Product
Cirtification was organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 11 candidates
from SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.

During the year 2016-2017, 04 number of Awareness programme on
Incubators was organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 43 candidates
from SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.
During the year 2016-2017, 01 number of Awareness programme on EET was
organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 07 candidates from
SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.
During the year 2016-2017, 01 number of Awareness programme on Design
Clinic was organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 06 candidates from
SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.
During the year 2016-2017, 06 number of National /State Vendor
Development Programme was organized in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in which 41
candidates from SC/ST/Women/Weaker Section were participated.

In charge, Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi, CEO, BIDA, Bhadohi, others officers of
MSME-DI, Allahbad, DIC, Bhadohi, IICT, Bhadohi, SPV of CFC attended the
meeting.
Dy. Director In charge of this institute and the officers of Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi
attended meeting on Consultant for High- Tech Silk Weaving cluster, Varanasi on
20.01.2017 organized by NPC, Kanpur at Varanasi on dated 20.01.2017.
Dy. Director (Food) along with AD (Mech)& AD(EI) conducted meeting with
Sh. Nipendra Kumar, DGM, BHEL(IP), Jagdishpur, Amethi regarding the vendor
registration process of their unit as well as to conduct National Vendor
Development Programme in association with them.
Meeting was conducted by Director of this Institute with Director (R&D),
Director, Directorate of Extension & other faculty members of SHIATS,
Allahabad on dated 05.08.2016 regarding establishment of incubators at their
institute. All the officers of this institute are also attended the meeting.

President, Emerging Business Chamber of Commerce, Jagdishpur, Amethi about

Meeting of Malviya Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship at
BHU , Varanasi
Dy. Director (Food) alongwith AD (EI) attended meeting with Amla Product
Enterprises at District Pratapgarh on dated 20.09.2016.
Core program meeting was organized on dated 23.06.2016 in the chamber of
Director of this institute. All the officers upto Assistant Directors/Sr. Statistical
Officer were attended the said meeting.

Hi-tech Silk Weaving and Designing Cluster at Lohta, Varanasi

DI, Varanasi on dated 27.12.2016.
Dy. Director In charge of this institute organized core programme meeting at his
chamber on 05.01.2017, all the officers have attended the meeting.
Dy. Director In charge of this institute attended State Level Screening Committee
meeting to scrutinize the proposal submitted by the various enterprises ogf Uttar
Pradesh related to National Award for MSME at MSME-DI, Kanpur.
Dy. Director In charge of this institute attended National Award meeting to
finalize the proposals of the units of Uttar Pradesh applied for the above award at
O/o Principal Secretary, Ministry of MSME Govt. of Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow
on 30.01.2017.
The officer of Branch Institute has attended TFC meeting under PMEGP called by
KVIC at KVIC Premises, Teliyabag, Varanasi on 3rd and 4th January.

Honble Union Minister MSME, Sh. Kalraj Mishra visited Pratapgarh and
conducted meeting with Director and Asstt. Director (L/F) of this institute on
dated 30.11.2016 at Pratapgarh.
Honble Union State Minister MSME, Sh. Giriraj Singh visited Sultanpur and
conducted meeting with Director and Dy. Director (Food) of this institute at
Sultanpur.

Secretary( MSME), New Delhi visited Varanasi and conducted meeting with the
Director, Dy. Director (Food) of MSME-DI, Allahabad, Dy. Director(I/C),
Branch MSME- DI,Varanasi and officers from KVIC, NSIC, Coir Board etc.
were present in the meeting. Secretary (MSME), New Delhi has discussed with
Association Presidents, Industralist, Chambers etc regarding progress of Esatern
Uttar Pradesh. Secretary was also visited the Glass Beads Cluster, Chandpur,
Varanasi and Hi-Tech Silk Weaving Cluster, Lohta, Varanasi on 08.06.2016.
Additional Secretary cum Development Commissioner (MSME), New Delhi
visited MSME-DI, Allahabad and Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi on 13.07.2016 &
14.07.2016 respectively and conducted meeting with the officers of this
institute.He also visited Glass Beads Cluster, Chandpur, Varanasi & Hi-Tech
Silk Weaving Cluster,Lohta, Varanasi. He also visited Jayapur, Varanasi and
discussed with Branch Manager, Union Bank of India, Jayapur, Varanasi
regarding development of Jayapur Village being adopted by Hon,ble Prime
Minister .
Swatchh Bharat Pakhwada were organized by this Institute as well as Branch
Institute during 01.05.2016 to 15.05.2016. During this Pakhwada all the officers
and staff done various activities as per the instructions of DC (MSME), New
Delhi.
Honble Cabinet Minister of MSME, Sri Kalraj Mishra visited Allahabad and
conducted meeting with the officers of MSME-DI, Allahabad on dated
14.02.2017. Asstt. Director (Mech.) & Asstt. Director (EI) of this institute
attended the meeting.
Honble Minister of State of MSME, Sri Giriraj Singh visited Allahabad &
Chitrakoot and conducted meeting with the officers of MSME-DI, Allahabad on
dated 26.02.2017at Chitrakoot. Asstt. Director (EI) of this institute attended the
meeting.

Br. MSME-DI, varanasi in association with MSME-DI,Allahabad organized two
days National Vendor Development Programme cum Industrial exhibition at
Industrial estate, chandpur, Varanasi during 27.02.2017 & 28.02.2017. The
programme was inaugrated by Sri. Nitin Ramesh Gokarn (IAS), Divisional
Commissioner, Varanasi and about 70 MSMEs and PSUs participated in the
programme.
MSME-DI, Allahabad and Branch MSME-DI, Varanasi organized 23 number of
awareness programme on Digital Payment during 15.12.2016 to 30.12.2016 at
District Allahabad, Jaunpur, Partapgarh, Varanasi, Chandauli and Amethi. About
1252 persons from MSMEs, Govt. Officials, Faculty & Students of technical
institute and other stakeholders get aware about digital mode of payment through
PPP & videos footage available on the website of Niti Ayog.
Dy. Director Incharge of Branch MSME-DI, Vranasi attended 42nd Steering
Committee of Micro & Small Enterprises- Cluster Development Programme
(MSE-CDP) at MSME-DI Extension center New Delhi.
Dy. Director Incharge of this institute attended 43rd Steering Committee of Micro
& Small Enterprises- Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) on dated-
09.03.2017 at MSME-DI Extension center New Delhi.

This institute organized one day awareness programme on Intellectual Property
Rights (IPR) in association with All India Carpet Manufacturing Association
(AICMA), Bhadohi on dated 24.09.2016 at Kalin Bhawan, Bhadohi. Sh. Gulam
Sherfuddin Ansari, President, AICMA was the chief guest of the programme and
the programme is presided by Sh. R.S. Barapatre, Director, MSME-DI,
Allahabad. Dr. Shahsi Rana, Joint Director, IPFC, Lucknow; Prof. A.K.
Goswami, Director, IICT, Bhadohi & Dr. Rajnikant from Varanasi are the guest
speakers and about sixty(60) MSEs were participated in the programme.
Branch MSME-DI Varanasi conducted one day awareness programme on
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in association with Indo American Chamber of
Commerce at Varanasi. 48 MSEs were participated in the programme.

India, Jagdishpur (UP) at BHEL premises on dated 27.12.2016. Executive
Director, Corporate office (BHEL), New Delhi inaugurate the programme
through Video Conferencing and about 55 MSMEs attended the programme.

Br. MSME Development Institute, Varanasi organized one day awareness Programme
on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) at Varanasiin association with the Small Industries
Association, Chandpur, Varanasi in Hotel Madhuvan Palace, Kakarmatta, Varanasi on
08.11.2016. The above said programme was divided in two parts i.e. Inaugural Session
and Technical Session. The Chief Guest Professor P. N. Jha, Director, School of
Management Sciences, Varanasi inaugurated the Programme. Shri R. K. Chaudhary,
Divisional Chairman, Indian Industries Association, (Varanasi Chapter), Varanasi, Shri
Rajesh Kumar Verma, President, The Small Industries Association, Varanasi &Shri
Rajesh Bhatia, Chapter Chairman, Indian Industries Association, (Varanasi Chapter),
Varanasi was the Special Guest and ShriUmesh Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner
Industries, District Industries & Enterprise Promotion, Varanasi was the Guest of
Honour. Shri I. B. Singh, Deputy Director In-charge, Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi welcomed
all the dignitaries present on the dais as well as the industrialist/entrepreneurs, new
entrepreneurs participating in the programme and Shri Singh also compeered the
programme. While inaugurating the programme, Chief Guest Professor P. N. Jha,
Director, School of Management Sciences, Varanasi has advised all the participants to
take the advantage of this programme for their benefits. Shri I. B. Singh, Deputy Director
In-charge, Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi proposed vote of thanks. Around 80 participants have
attended the programme.
Technical Session was organized under the Chairmanship of Professor P. N. Jha,
Director, School of Management Sciences, Varanasi. Shri I. B. Singh, Deputy Director
In-charge, Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi covered the topic on Introduction about ZED and
Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification Scheme of Govt. of India, Ministry of
MSME and also displayed the Video and other Schemes of Govt. of India, Ministry of
MSME and explained in detail.
Shri A. M. Chakrborty, Secretary, Quality Circle Forum of India, Varanasi has informed
the industrialist/entrepreneurs through presentation on Zero Defect Zero Effect by
Applying 5 S Concept in MSMEs.
Shri A. H. Khan, Manager (Training & Development), Quality Circle Forum of India,
Varanasi has informed the industrialist/entrepreneurs through presentation on Zero Defect
Zero Effect by Applying Lean Manufacturing and Lean Quality Control.
During open house discussion, many of industrialists posed their queries/doubts which
were addressed to their satisfaction by the officers during session.

Varanasi has informed the Role of Geographical Indication(GI) in MSMEs,& its Impact
and Protection & Promotion of Traditional Livelihood Through GI Registration.

BRIEF REPORT OF IMC PROGRAMME AT JAYAPUR, VARANASI ON 21.07.2016 Br. MSME Development Institute, Varanasi organized one day Industrial
Motivational Campaign (IMC) on MSME Schemes in association with Union Bank of India, Jayapur Branch, Varanasi at Aaganbari Kendra, Jayapur, Varanasi on 21.07.2016. The Chief Guest Shri Ranjeet Singh, Lead District Manager, Union Bank of India, Chandra Tower,Varanasi inaugurated the Programme. Shri R. S. Barapatre, Director, MSME-DI, Allahabadhas presided over the programme.Shri I. B. Singh, Deputy Director In-charge, Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais as well as the participants participated in the programme and Shri Singh also compeered the programme. Later on Shri Singh has informed the august gathering about the MSME Schemes including CGTMSE in detail and invited the participants to come forward to avail the opportunity being provided by Govt. of India for their betterment as well as their promotion & development by setting up of self-employmentventures and he also assured them to provide all sort of assistance by this Br. Institute, Varanasi.
While inaugurating the programme, Chief Guest ShriRanjeet Singh, Lead District Manager, Union Bank of India, Chandra Tower, Varanasihas advised all the participants to take the advantage of this programme and he also informed that this Jayapur Branch will be with them for setting up of any self-employment ventures for their betterment.
During the Presidential Address, Shri R. S. Barapatre, Director, MSME-DI, Allahabad has informed the participants about the other Govt. of India Schemes i.e. UdyogAadhar Memorandum, Start up, Stand up, Quality Control, Energy saving, Bar Code etc. and also informed that the Br. Office Varanasi will provide all the assistance for needy person who want to start their own industry.
During the programme, officers of District Industries & Export Promotion Center, Lahatara, Varanasi Shri Narayan Mishra, Asstt.Commissiomer, KVIC, Teliabagh, Varanasi, Shri Rajesh Srivastava, ADO, NSIC, Maldahiya, Varanasi ShriVinod Kumar Jaiswal, Asstt. Manager have also spoken about their departmental activities as well as schemes. Shri V. K. Verma, Deputy Director(Food), MSME-DI, Allahabad has also spoken on the occasion about the status of Food Industry in the Eastern Uttar Pradesh. ShriSurendra Sharma, Asstt. Director(G/C), Br. MSME-DI, Varanasi has spoken about the status of Glass & Ceramic Industry in the Purvanchal Region.
Around 105 participants have attended the programme and got the information for setting up of any type of self-employment ventures. During open house discussion, many of participants posed their queries/doubts which were soluted to their satisfaction by the officers during session.
